Great for a layover between destinations or as your vacation hub near Buffalo River trails, the Gaither Horse Motel is a family-owned operation with owners on-site. $20 a night stall rental, bedding and water provided. Location: 25 minutes from Buffalo River trails at Compton, AR. 14 minutes from Buffalo River trails at Pruitt. 81 minutes from Springdale, AR. 45 minutes from Branson, MO. From Alpena on Highway 412, take Highway 392 to Highway 206 West; the driveway is on the right side of road; follow the driveway up to the barns. From Harrison, take Highway 7 south; turn left at Highway 206 West, travel 3 miles to the driveway on the left side of the road.
