Facilities: Lone Mound is a 460 acre working cattle ranch with multiple trails on the property as well as easy access to miles of low traffic, dirt County Roads. Overnight guests are welcome, as well as those who would like to stay longer and enjoy the property. We are also only a 1hr 45min drive from Palo Duro State Park. Cabins and campsites available for rent, horse accommodations include two 24' x 24' shaded pipe corrals, and a 50' round pen. Plenty of room for big rigs to turn around, and we allow trailer drops if you need to run to town or would like to stay in one of the hotels in Shamrock (10 miles away). Pets are welcome in all cabins as well as the campsites. We have water spigots available, as well as a couple 30 amp & and 110 outlets for summer travelers. Those spots are limited though, so please contact us in advance to reserve one. All cabins and campsites are listed on Airbnb, Hipcamp, and Harvest Hosts, or you can contact us directly for booking. Be sure to check out our website for more ranch information or give us a call with any questions. All ranch products (grass-fed beef, free range chicken eggs, goats milk dairy products, garden vegetables, and home canned goods) are available in the store where you will check in. We also have horses and ATVS available for rent, in addition to the miles of hiking available. Guided jeep tours of the ranches regenerative ag processes or guided trail rides also available. If you may be interested in taking advantage of any guided tours or rentals please contact us in advance for scheduling.
Location:  Lone Mound Ranch is conveniently located just 10 minuets out of Shamrock, TX, and only 5.5 miles south of I-40. After taking exit 157 (Lela) you will continue south for 5.5 miles. The horse hotel entrance is about 1/2 mile south of the main ranch gate, and when you see the small black barn and brown semi body with the Lone Mound Country Store sign on the east side of the road. You will stop there to sign in and someone will direct you to the horse corrals and campsites. *Please note, while we are almost always working somewhere around the ranch, you will need to call ahead and verify that someone will be at the store to meet you*
