(11/6/15) - "We have been hauling our horses cross country for several years and have overnite boarded our horses in many facilities. Blue Horse Stables is in the top three, and I can't remember who the other two are.". . . (2/8/16) - "I highly recommend Blue Horse Stables. One of the best places I have ever stayed with my horses. Thanks, John for your hospitality. We look forward to our next trip through Abilene.". . . (2/28/16) - "Awesome people!! This is our 3rd or 4th stay! Wish we traveled this route more often. Always clean and John is always there to greet us on late arrivals with a smile. Good country folks would be a good place just to visit. You don't find places and people like this much anymore.". . . (3/10/16) - "Love this place and the host. We stayed 2x here and had great experiences. Very safe, quiet and clean. I would definitely recommend staying here. Nice pens and easy on/off access to the interstate.". . . (3/18/16) - "I had a great experience staying with my horse at this facility. The host is welcoming and kind. Super friendly. The facilities are clean. Every hook up spot has a table and chairs to go with it. My horse had a pen with a walk in stall. The driveway to get there is about a 1/2 mile and it gradually goes upward to the flat area where the barn and RV hookups are. Stay to the left when you get to the fork.". . . (6/6/16) - "Wonderful lay over. 5 stars.". . . (11/29/16) - "Mr John was an amazing host. Awesome place to stop; very safe and comfortable atmosphere. Stalls/runs were everything that you need for your horse when away from your own. NOT far from interstate, which means not far from restaurants and whatever you may need for your travel. Thanks for the utmost hospitality.". . . (1/4/17) - "Owners on site. Very clean. Friendly and helpful. Easy to find open space for large rigs. Safe stalls, safe turn out.". . . (1/28/17) - "We drove all day....avoiding an ice storm we drove south towards Arizona. Pulled in around 8:00 PM. Felt so good about unloading our horses into a turn out where they could stretch their legs after being in a trailer all day. Highly recommend Blue Horse Stables.". . . (6/4/17) - "John and Janie are tops.". . . (1/27/18) - "Could not be happier with host’s response to calls and emails, friendly reception, attention to needs, price, and help!! Accommodations were terrific, clean, and ready when we arrived. John is a sweet, terrific host and this was a GREAT overnight. Thank you so much!". . . (12/4/19) - "To John: thank you for your help on my current stay at your stable. I was recovering from an injury which happened in Arizona. John is always so helpful and has a great facility. We ALWAYS stop there It is a great location; easy to get to and always clean.". . . (11/20/20) - "John waited up for me to get there, made sure my horse and I were comfortable. Great place. I would denitely recommend, and would stay with them again. 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐". . . (12/29/20) - "The owners we very friendly and the facilities were excellent. Perfect for over night stays. John (the owner) could not have been any more helpful; he was there the whole time to make sure we were set up and ready for the night. I highly suggest the Blue Horse Ranch for anybody looking for a place to stay, in Abeline, Texas.". . . (1/22/22) - "Wow, what a great place! John is a great host I highly recommend stopping for the night here. We have a large living quarters so I’m always worried about getting in places....easy to get in and hook up, horse paddocks are a great size and it’s beautifully kept! 5 stars!!! ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ "

Comments: (5/14/11) - "Linda was a wonderful host; we were able to make our reservation the day of our stay on our drive into Amarillo & she was genuinely empathetic in regards to our LONG haul cross country with a mare who HATES to trailer. Amira was in a huge outdoor paddock with loafing shed for $10/night~Amazing deal! And she was able to see other horses which made her happy. Though we didn't use her box stalls the barn was huge, stalls spacious and all of the grounds were clean. She also has a HUGE indoor arena on the grounds and regularly holds events, though we were the only visitors on this night. We didn't stay overnight on the grounds and it was a 9 mile drive back into town for hotel and food, but we felt VERY safe leaving our mare and in comparison to the other local horse motels we are very glad we chose Linda's place. Very safe and secure place off the beaten path. Would definitely recommend and would stay again! THANKS LINDA FOR ACCOMMODATING US & MAKING IT SO WONDERFULLY EASY!". . . (9/1/13) - "Manager was on site for arrival and stall was ready and clean. Will use this facility again, never had a worry about my horse and both manager and owner were helpful and friendly.". . . (7/16/16) - "Great Place! 9 miles off the I-40 and from hotels and restaurants. Huge facility, tons of stalls. We will stay there again when passing through Amarillo.". . . (7/25/16) - "Staff went above and beyond expectations. I would highly recommend Open A Arena!!!". . . (9/13/17) - "This place is beautiful and HUGE! Stalls are large, safe, open, and the barn is super clean. Host was friendly and answered all questions for me. Hook ups are easy and close to the barn. The turn around area would be enough for the biggest tractor trailer out there! These are great horse people with an incredible set up. Thanks for sharing!". . . (8/3/19) - "Big stalls, quiet and clean. Perfect stop for large rigs, plenty of room to maneuver.". . . (9/23/19) - "This place is the best overnight stop out there. Plenty of large clean stalls w/ auto waterers and feed bunks (No buckets needed!!). Straight shot off and on theHighway; parking and turn around space for any size rig. Friendly owners that allows late arrival, trailer clean, out and knows what it is like to travel with expensive horses!!! Love this place and highly recommend!". . . (9/30/19) - "We stayed at Open A Arena for 3 days and had an amazing time. It was quiet, relaxing, beautiful facility and gracious hosts.". . . (10/27/19) - "We stayed here in July as we voyaged across the country for a military move. Very easy to access the facility and the stalls were bedded and set up for us before we got there. Workers were friendly and readily available for us even though we got in late. Tons of trailer spots and parking and a very safe facility. Highly recommend!". . . (12/18/20) - "Great facility just off of the interstate. We drive a large rig and there was LOTS of room!! Stalls were in a spacious barn and super safe. My horses could see each other so they were really relaxed.". . . (12/18/20) - "Wonderful, clean facility with large stalls. Automatic waterers and feeders. Owners are friendly and available. Great location. Would highly recommend!". . . (12/18/20) - "Easy to nd. Large parking area; easy to turn around our LQ trailer. Barn clean and well lit stalls. While we were there a tractor trailer came in with 4 horses. He had no problems turning around. Doug and Christy are very knowledgeable and accommodating. We would definitely stay there again.". . . (12/19/20) - "We stay at the Open A every time we are in Amarillo. They always our stalls and RV ready upon arrival. The stalls have automatic waterers and feed bins which is a plus to us so we don't have to unload all of our gear. No waiting, no check in, pull up unload, hook up and enjoy the evening stress free! I would highly recommend Open A they will not disappoint.". . . (12/19/20) - "Wonderful, clean facility with large stalls. Automatic waterers and feeders. Owners are friendly and available. Great location. Would highly recommend!". . . (5/13/22) - "Under new ownership since Nov. 2021. Hosts were very friendly. A great place to lay over for a night and hit the road again. The photo in the Ad is not the stalls your horse will be in.". . . (2/28/23) - "Listing says "ENCLOSED" - barn is not enclosed and our body clipped horses are freezing even triple blanketed. Pictures are not accurate. Would not recommend."

(2/17/16 - "Great place to let the horses rest. Beautiful stalls and more than enough fluffy bedding.". . . (2/28/16) - "This is the first time I have used this facility and was very impressed with it. It is clean, well lit, and easy to get in and out of. I highly recommend the Horse Hotel to anyone traveling I-40.". . . (11/15/16) - "Very easy on and off from I-40 and close to town. Nice and clean place for our horse.". . . (2/2/17) - "Right off the interstate! I asked for a pen so my horses could stretch their legs, I arrived about 10 p.m. and the horses were more than ready to be unloaded. I found a motel just a few miles away that allowed dogs.". . . (8/15/17) - "Penny, the proprietor, was exceptionally helpful when it came to all things Amarillo. When wanting a convenient, well cared for, and friendly place to stop in Texas I vote Happy Tracks. We were only a stop sign and a mile from Cadillac Ranch and in the morning had no trouble jumping right on the main highway to our next stop.". . . (4/7/18) - "Always a pleasure to stay here. I am a single mom traveling with my daughter & horses...we love it and have stayed here for years!". . . (4/7/18) - "Cindy & Vic were lovely, gracious hosts. Sadly, their facility is less than 80 ft from the 40 and semis are flying by every few seconds. Also, there is no fence between the stalls and the road so if your horse gets loose, it could be ugly. Nerve wracking putting your horse in the trailer with all the noise and truck lights whizzing by. Not good for nervous horses.". . . (5/1/22) - "The facility is literally right off of I-40. It makes it very convenient to unload, throw them in a stall, and let them rest. The Stalls are heavily bedded. The stalls in the paddock runs are very secure but the place is not fenced around it so if you have freaky horses you probably wouldn't want to stay here because it's not fenced in. We really like the facility and we definitely would stay here again; it is a lovely couple. Penny and Vic are very sweet people. They have a nice flat, level place to park your trailer. Our horses were quite comfortable there and felt comfortable enough to lay down and get a good night's rest. I would definitely stay here again. We liked how convenient it was with easy access just under the bridge to a cheaper gas station.". . . (7/22/23) - "They were absolutely amazing! My horse is allergic to normal bedding. They were very accommodating and had a stall cleaned out for me for my own bedding for my gelding. Also had a colic scare. Thankfully, I caught it before it got serious but they helped me find an emergency vet to get my boy to as it was a weekend and everything was closed and we were still an hour out. They called the vet to let them know I was on my way and sent me the address and still kept the stalls for me when we were done with the vet! They didn't need to do any of this, but they did and that's the kind of people I trust with my horses.". . . (3/15/24) - "Great place with clean bedded stalls. We will layover over here instead of Big Texan from now on. Much easier getting into and turned around, nicer stalls and barn as a whole.

(12/18/20) - "I am currently traveling from AZ to Texas. Elizabeth was so accommodating with me and my horses, even when our arrival time was at midnight. She made sure that we had fresh water, very clean turn out, hay upon request, and a wheel barrow to be able to clean our trailer out. Everything was set up for us when we arrived and all we had to do was put our horses out and go. She even recommended a pet friendly hotel only a mile and a half down the road to stay at. Wonderful experience. I would denitely recommend.". . . (12/28/20) - "This is the second time we have stayed here. Large clean turn outs for the mules. Big rig friendly. Easy on and off of I-40. Highly recommend this place.". . . (1/11/21) - "Great place to stay.". . . (4/18/21) - "Elizabeth met us as we pulled into the facility. Large paddocks, large run in, with water already waiting in clean troughs. Three pull through sites that easily handled our 35 ft. LQ trailer and truck. Very friendly host who hauled our manure straight out of the trailer with her tractor. Located very close to I-40 and easy to get to. Highly recommend her place. We enjoyed it so much that we stayed there again on our way back home.". . . (6/20/21) - "This place is super sharp and we’re very happy with our experience. Elizabeth is quick and easy to work with. The pens are large, have great shelter, feeders, and are very clean. Hands down, one of the best horse motels!". . . (8/11/21) - "Great place. Not very large...make a reservation...but very nice layout. Easy in and out and easy unloading. Took great care of Phillip. I highly recommend this place. Thank you.". . . (12/13/21) - "This is a great property. Easy to pull into with a big rig and very easy to access trailer hookup. Paddocks are clean and safe and gave our horses plenty of room to move around in. Easy to exit as well. Elizabeth is a great host and we would definitely stay here again if the area is in our travel plans!". . . (4/18/22) - "I had to call last minute, and the host was super kind and let us stay. Her place was immaculate and my gelding has a nice large pen for the night after a long days haul. Plenty of room for turning around and her place was very close to town.". . . (5/1/22) - "Very clean. The facilities for the horses were well-kept and safe, which is not always the case at these places. Appreciated the warm welcome & place to park our horse trailer.". . . (12/18/22) - "Safe, clean facility. Wonderful host that makes the stay a sought-after stop time after time. We haul all over the United States and this is one of the top facilities we have been. Highly recommend stopping here for any traveler.". . . (12/20/22) - "Wonderful facility for our horses and rig. Very clean and well laid out instructions for access and setup for the horses. Quick response from the owner on a short notice stop. Definitely on our list for future travel.". . . (12/23/22) - "Wonderful facility for our horses and rig. Very clean and well laid out instructions for access and setup for the horses. Quick response from the owner on a short notice stop. Definitely on our list for future travel.". . . (5/4/23) - "Exceptional facility, Gracious & helpful hosts, nearby hotels and restaurants.". . . (11/28/23) - "We will definitely be back and refer others. Perfect location, especially if you’re headed west. Easy on easy off interstate and close to motel. They also have RV hook ups but we stayed overnight at a motel this time. The outdoor pens were very nice and big. Elizabeth was great and very helpful.". . . (1/19/24) - "Heated waterers, clean, easy to find, excellent communication, routinely removed manure from paddocks, safe and secure location. Thank you for allowing my hooved beauties a place to stay!"

Comments: (10/26/23) - "A hidden gem! So clean, quiet, safe, and relaxing. My husband and I needed an emergency spot to stop with our horses and trailer. The horse hotel was safe and in sight of several pull through RV hookups. I loved getting to keep an eye on my horses from our campsite. The bathhouse was brand new, clean, and spacious. Owner was so kind and accommodating. Forget the Big Texan, we will be stopping at Crossroads from now on. 5 star accommodations for our animals.". . . (11/12/23) - "This is such a great spot. Our horses really liked the covered pipe pens much better than inside stalls. There is a windbreak on 2 sides. Water is right there in the barn. It is a quiet RV park but has a really nice bath house with a shower and laundry. Everyone was welcoming. I highly recommend this spot if you are traveling through Amarillo. We stayed 2 nights since it was so nice."

(5/2/18) - "One of the best places you’ll ever stay. Immaculate, safe, great turn outs and stalls. Excellent hospitality and convenient for big rigs.". . . (5/26/18) - "2nd time to stay here. Very convenient and accommodations are great. Very friendly host.". . . (8/2/18) - "Lone Star Bed and Bale was a great place to overnight my horse. Safe, secure, with detailed attention given to clean buckets. Super clean facility, deep bedded stall, and friendly host. Not the closest to human food and accommodation. But it’s within 10 minutes or so. Not bad at all.". . . (4/22/19) - "Fantastic place to layover. Human accommodations are five star and the barn is clean, spacious, and safe. Roomy pens outside as well. We stay twice a year while traveling to/from Arizona and Wisconsin. The hosts are always available and welcoming. I love that they check health papers and coggins... every time. Coffee and light breakfast is offered as self serve. Secure and private, also has hook ups for lq trailers. Will be back in the fall!". . . (7/12/19) - "Excellent; super clean and very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend.". . . (8/12/19) - "Cleanest and largest stalls we have encountered since we left home a week ago. Also the most comfortable beds! We will never make the trip from Dallas to Denver in one day again.". . . (12/6/19) - "By far, the best place we have stayed! The owners are amazing and so sweet! Stalls/Barn/Facility were incredibly clean and convenient. They have a large bathroom with shower that was also very warm during the cold weather and spotless! They make you feel like you’re “home”. We’ll definitely plan our future trips to return here! Thank you both for everything!". . . (2/22/21) - "Clean, user friendly, easy. Accommodations great after a long couple days on the road. Great hospitality. Definitely coming back.". . . (1/5/22) - "This place is amazing and so are the owners. The barn is insulated, very clean, very nice. The stalls have rubber mats, safe walls, and clean shavings upon your arrival. The bunkhouse is extremely clean, smells good, the bed is comfortable, so are the pillows, and the towels are nice. Definitely recommend staying here.". . . (9/7/22) - "Communication when booking wasn't the greatest, but that's the only complaint. The facility is completely fenced in, the pens were nice, the best though is the bunkhouse! Well stocked with everything you'd need. We will definitely be staying here again.". . . (11/7/23) - "Stayed 11/4/23. This place was more than great. The host were readily available. We chose outdoor pens because my horses prefer it, but the barn stalls were nice. Easy in/out access. RV/trailer hookups/parking was great. Only downside were trains, but it didn’t seem to bother the horses, and a tired traveler sleeps right through it. There were also bunk houses available, as well as a nicely kept bathroom/shower for RV travelers. I Highly recommend the place and will stay again.". . . (12/5/23) - "Ryan and his girlfriend were great. The grounds were awesome. Easy in and easy out. The bunkrooms were clean, comfortable and showers were nice and big! Great water pressure. They had coffee made in the kitchen at 5 A.M with cereals, oatmeal, muffins, etc…. The barn was very nice with big spacious stalls. Will definitely be stopping again.". . . (12/27/23 - "Absolutely amazing! Horse stalls were warm and cozy and the host was super helpful in getting everyone tucked in. The guest room was amazing and having coffee ready early in the morning was a godsend. Safe and secure area for dogs. 10/10."

Comments: (10/25/02) - "HHH is a real find! The host & hostess are most accommodating and super friendly, going way out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The easy access to McKinney Roughs equestrian park makes HHH a treasured stop on our travels. We'll be coming back many times!". . .(10/28/02) - "Hollis and Beaux are the perfect hosts at Happy Horse Hotel! They work hard to make your stay perfect. The proximity to the fabulous McKinney Roughs horse park is also a plus. But first, Happy Horse Hotel...the horse pens are nice and secure with water faucets adjacent and sand bedding (good for making horses "happy" after a good ride at the horse park!) There are good hookups for those with living quarters. Trees for shade, and Hollis's horses in a pasture nearby made my horse happy. The bungalow makes camping luxurious - I have stayed there during a hot spell as well as a cool spell, and was cool/cozy both times. The outdoor shower bower(totally private and lovely) was welcome and made me feel like a wood elf. The "privy" was the most elegant privy I have ever seen, complete with candles, propane heat, reading materials, and a wooden toilet seat! Inside the bungalow is a very comfortable king size bed, ac/heat, refrigerator, art, and a wonderful reading chair and light that I used (with a glass of wine) after my long ride, shower, and dinner. The McKinney Roughs horse park has some of the most beautiful trails I have yet to see in Texas - riding along the Colorado River through the shade trees and then down into the river to cool off provided some of the most peaceful riding I have ever done. This park offers hills, wooded trails, and Hill Country views, and is quickly getting popular with Central Texas riders. This makes the Happy Horse Hotel a perfect place to stay since you can get discount park coupons from Hollis, and then use the one mile ride down the nice road a good warm up/cool down for a super day on the trail (or trailer up to the park!) Thank you Hollis and Beaux for having the vision and motivation to create a true "happy horse hotel!". . . (11/3/02) - "This was a great experience...very country..The owners were extremely friendly..We were going to ride but weather did not permit. Next time we will and there will be a next time! We were treated just like we were "next door neighbors.". . .(12/10/04) - "Great little country place close to Austin with excellent trail boss, fenced riding area, and guest cottage and set up with groups in mind. Friendly, knowledgeable and fun place.". . .(4/24/08) - "Fun place to visit. Nearby McKinney Roughs Park for horse riding (only dry days) is great!". . . (7/9/12) - "I love this place, its my favorite horsey home away from home, and there is great riding at McKinney Roughs two miles up the road!". . . (3/6/15) - "Highly recommend Happy Horse for layovers or longer stays. Beautiful location and facility; very clean and well maintained. Great amenities with hook ups, stalls, pens, pavilion, restroom. Very secure location and owners are very close. Owners are very friendly, helpful and accommodating. If you find yourself in need of overnight horse boarding in Central Tx, this is the place!". . . (5/24/20) - "Best hosts/owners ever! Super friendly in a beautiful setting. The owners met us at the gate at 11 pm to show us where to park. Great service and reasonably priced."

Comments: (4/11/21) - "Some of the nicest people, and very helpful, what ever we needed for the horses and us. They helped load 2 young fillys never been loaded but once and jumped right in to help. We give them 5 stars will definitely stay again!! You should, too; won’t disappoint.". . . (4/12/21) - "We have stayed with R & R three times now while passing through the area. The owner, Lisa, is very accommodating with check-in times and understanding when plans change. She is very communicative with calling and texting. It is a convenient stop just off of I-10 on a quiet road and the town of Bandera is approximately 10 minutes away with hotels and restaurants available. The horses are always fed early enough so they’re done eating their grain by the time we get on the road. They enjoy the large, two-acre, grass turn-out which is perfect for a stretch after a long ride in the trailer. Overall, R & R is great, and Lisa and her family are wonderful! We always try to stop there when we need a layover."

Comments: (1/18/21) - "New owner, very friendly and helpful. We used secure, outside pens for our two horses, water and 20 amp electric hookup next to barn, not far from I-20, missed the driveway due to Google map snafu.". . . (3/7/22) - "We had to alter our driving directions due to bad weather. The host couldn’t have been friendlier. Facilities are very clean. We were able to stay there overnight as well. Highly recommended!". . . (4/1/23) - "Pulled in after dark, inside stalls were clean, water buckets were clean and filled. Easy to find, not too far off the interstate. Easy to get into and turn around with a large truck and trailer. Renee was friendly and made sure our stay was enjoyable.". . . (2/19/24) - "This layover saved the day! After stopping at a very unsafe layover in Odessa, Chapter Two Ranch allowed us to call and arrive late in the evening. The ranch was clean and safe and the host was wonderful. Definitely recommend!"

(10/28/20) - "This is a great facility that is convenient to I-10, is beautifully maintained, and there is plenty of room for big rigs. It was a bit puzzling after turning onto a street in a residential neighborheed with upper scale homes but the end of the development opened up into a beautiful equestrain facility. Krissan took time out of her busy schedule to give me a tour of the place. The barn is immaculate, they have a nicely manicured covered arena, hookups for RVs, a wash rack, and more, Thanks, Krissan.

I will make it a point to stay there when traveling from Texas to Colorado.". . . (5/4/22) - "Paul is a great host for your horse. He let me turn my boy out in the round pen to get the kinks out before putting him in his stall and was kind when I inquired nervously about an incoming dust storm. (Paul knew about the storm and had already closed up the barn to protect my horse.) Hotels and services are just 5 minutes away and our stay was a pleasure. I'll be happy to bunk my horse here again in the future."

Comments: (2/29/20) - "What a well managed, beautiful facility. Stalls are spacious and clean and the outdoor arena is massive with excellent ground. Easy access close to the interstate makes it a great overnight stop. Thanks for the great stay, Todd.". . . (10/30/20) - "This is a very nice facility convenient to I-10. Todd, the owner, took time out of his day to show me around his facility. The grounds are neatly maintained and the barn and other structures are solidly built, clean, and neat in appearance. There is plenty of room for big rigs. I had a great visit and hope to return again. Thanks, Todd.". . . (1/2/21) - "Fantastic place to stay; the owner is very accommodating & helpful! We have very high standards since we also have a facility ourselves and now intend to refer our own guests to stay here after they leave us when headed this way! Todd, thank you! You have a great place!". . . (1/23/21) - "Awesome layover! Owner was awesome & helped with water, etc. As owners of Lugo Ranch - Dallas, we know what it takes to make a great layover location & Todd has got IT! Look forward to staying again!". . . (3/22/23) - "Go West was our half way stop twice in the last two weeks and both visits were great. Easy to get our rig in there off the side street. It's right in the middle of a lovely subdivision(that built up around them) and is a well-run facility with friendly people. Close to interstate/hotels/food...anything you need. Plan to follow their team professionally and will surely stay again."

Comments: (2/13/21) - "Great people to work with, I felt very safe for myself and my horse, I will be back!". . . (2/25/21) - "Rena was very accommodating and worked with us to house my horses together in one pen. I have a blind mare and being with the other two works best for her. The facility was clean and accessible. Her animals were friendly and non confrontational which was good. The RV hookups were very nice but slightly far from the pens. That worked out fine though. My horses were very comfortable there.". . . (2/28/21) - "Rena and Raul are great hosts and have a one-stop facility for overnighters. Their box stalls are spacious and solidly built. They have larger turnouts if a customer prefers more space for their horses to stretch their legs after a long haul. Right beside the horse accommodations is a 12 space RV park, within a short walking distance to the horses. They are very close to I-10 but not within earshot of the traffic. Rena and Raul are gracious hosts and have a great facility.". . . (4/27/21) - "Rena and Raul are some of the best hosts ever. Pulling in, I was so tired and they open gates as you pull in, grab the wheel barrel and fork so you can get your trailer cleaned and always have a smile for you to brighten your day. I have stayed twice here and consider it the best over night rest stop. Very clean and welcoming.". . . (6/29/21) - "Great place, will stay again.". . . (12/4/21) - "We were coming through Texas on Thanksgiving day. Tired and hungry, (due to nothing being open on Thanksgiving day) the horses were ready for a break . Rena & Saul were very inviting and they even had a surprise, Thanksgiving dinner plates for us. Yummy. Rena and I really hit it off; you would’ve thought we were sisters. Very precious lady. On our way back through from Wickenburg, Arizona we stopped there again. And we talked for about an hour with Rena and Saul. (Filling them in on our adventure.) My husband, Rickey, and I really enjoyed our stay . Their place was very clean and very safe for us and the horses. Highly recommend to stay there. They make you feel like family.💗". . . (4/2/22) - "Friendly and helpful hosts, who kept in contact with us through out our trip. Within a couple of miles of hotels and food. One of the better places we have boarded our horses at. If you have pets, as we did, we recommend the Best Western there in Fort Stockton, they have amazing rooms for pet owners.". . . (5/9/22) - "Rena and Raul greeted us upon arrival. Very nice folks. Horse facilities were clean and very large stalls. Our horses were happy. Thank you Rena and Raul for your hospitality.". . . (1/6/23) - "Hey all, I highly recommend this facility. Rena and Saul were very hospitable and organized. They guided me in with patience. They put hay out and freshwater as I arrived. I will be using this facility in the future."

Joe, Robin and their children are good folks with knowledge of the area; rodeos, team roping, Western wear, hats and boots. Guest accommodations with the Western theme were very nice. Just what we needed.". . . (7/7/19) - "My daughter, Tessa, and I boarded our horse at Robin's ranch for one night in June, 2019. The owner, Robin, was very courteous & friendly. We liked that she was on-site. Her stalls are very clean. Robin offered us the opportunity to turnout our horse, too. We enjoyed staying in the quaint town of Fredericksburg. The downtown is only 5 miles away. Ranch was very accessible to the 290 on our way to Austin. We will stay at Media Luna again.". . . (1/4/22) - "Wish I could give 'exceptional' as a response or a big "Heck, yeah!". Awesome location within 8 miles of Fredericksburg, TX on 290. Love, love, love the family and the facility."

Helped set up living quarters to RV hook ups. The arena has new ground and very maintained. Top notch quality. Roped Friday night and had a blast. Definitely will return.". . . (5/3/21) - "Overnight at 380 Ranch on April 13, 2021. A very positive experience, great stalls, turnout and full hookup for the LQ. Great place to stay and avoid the Dallas Metro area. Will definitely stay at 380 Ranch next time we’re transiting north central Texas."

Comments: (9/20/17) - "We loved our stay at Lugo ranch. They went above and beyond to make us comfortable. They have a variety of stabling. We chose a large pen with no cover or shade, but had plenty of other options. They are very professional. Just tell them what you need and we feel certain they will make it happen for you or let you know if it's not possible. We'll be using them as an overnight from now on. Thank u Lugo Ranch!". . . (9/29/17) - "The Lugo Ranch is a great place to stay! My horse loves it here and any layovers I've seen have left feeling refreshed and happy! Great staff and Cindy is so accommodating!" . . . (9/29/17) - "Love them!!". . . (9/29/17) - "Very sweet husband / wife team.". . . (10/14/17) - "We have used the Lugo Ranch on several occasions. We found the facilities to be clean, neat, and very friendly. The staff always goes out of their way to make sure our horses are comfortable and well stalled. Facilities are completely fenced. Barns and stall very adequate. Would definitely return again!". . . (10/26/17) - "Cindy, her family, and help were all very friendly and helpful! The facility was very nice, and clean, and safe for my horse! Thanks for everything!". . . (11/4/17) - "We enjoyed very much staying at Lugo Ranch. Our 2 horses had a biiiig corral, they loved it. They also had a constantly refilled bucket of water :)) Cindy and her "super" helper Natasha did all they could to make our stay relaxing; they succeeded at it. Thank you for going above and beyond our expectations. I checked neutral on the "proximity to human food and lodging " as we stayed on site in our camper and don't know about it.". . . (11/26/17) - "Great place to rest your horse and stay right in your trailer! Horse was able to stretch and sleep well with plenty of other horses around to make us feel at home! Will recommend!". . . (4/7/19) - "Simple but very safe horse accommodations. My mares were thrilled to have a large area to run around in, roll and stretch their legs. Josh was fantastic providing fresh water and helping me back up to hook up my trailer. Up in the morning to open gate!! Recommended.". . . (7/10/19) - "Hauled on July 4 and was extra concerned about an overnight stay because of fireworks. Lugo Ranch had such good reviews that I rerouted my trip to put my mare there, and I am so happy I did. Excellent large pen, plenty of company nearby, VERY nice, well-informed and helpful owners on-site. Really a cut above, which relieved my hauling stress enormously. Highly recommended!". . . (9/13/19) - "Cindy was a great host. She was waiting for our arrival. Her directions were great. The outside pen for our horses was clean and ready. Trailer parking was easy & large. She was helpful & friendly.". . . (2/26/20) - "Easy to pull a bigger trailer in and out. Cindy was not there the day we stayed over but her mother and their ranch hand, Steve, were there. They had three very clean and neat pens waiting with fresh shavings and clean waterers. I had trouble finding this property but I was traveling at night, later than I expected. I think if I had arrived during the day it would have been easier.". . . (7/16/.20) - "I contacted the owner last minute and she was so helpful and calming to me, as I was a mess due to needing to hurry and drop my horse trailer and put horse in a stall so we could take our truck to a shop to get fixed. As we were on our way from FL to Ok for NHSRA finals. They went above to help us and it was so appreciated. We will stop again."

Easy turn around for large rigs and parking for electricity. Will be my go to spot when in the area.". . . (10/17/16) - "Katie's Place was exactly what we needed when traveling through Texas - right off the highway, clean stall, hookups for our trailer, and secure facility. Katie was super friendly and helpful. Definitely staying here again if we are ever in need of a place to stay the night along the I-10.". . . (12/9/17) - "Katie and Lori really did a great job! They went the extra mile in communication, checking on us as we were arriving that day and making sure our directions were accurate. When we got there Lori was so friendly and welcoming! Our horses were well cared for and safe; we felt very comfortable with this layover. Highly recommend Katie's Place for the friendliness, great care and the convenience of location.". . . We got in late and she stayed up to help us. Electric hook up. Big corral. No indoor, just a cover, but she did tell us ahead of time.". . . (7/23/18) - "Terrific facility and super people! We are so thankful to Katie's Place for taking care of us last night. Although we arrived almost 4 hours late, the ladies were there to greet us and had everything ready for our horse. Thank you again, we are so thankful!". . . (5/28/19) - "We had made reservation with Katie but could not go there because Katie called us during our trip several times guiding us away from a serious lightning storm in her area. That was extremely nice of her and she prevented us from running into serious trouble with our 2 horses and 3 cats because we were heading right into a storm. Because of Katie we stopped our journey and waited out the storm. Thank you Katie!". . . (6/20/19) - "I don't know that I can put into words how accommodating and wonderful the owner of this facility is. My family got way behind schedule traveling from AZ due to repairs we had to do in NM. I kept in touch with Katie throughout the day and we didn't roll into her place until 3am. When we got there she was as friendly as ever and greeted us at the gate. It was such a long day for us, and coming to a place so welcoming with the horses made us feel so much better about our long day. We highly recommend this place and it was very easy to find and safe! I really appreciated how she kept everything locked up, too. We had a big moving van along with our trailer and her place was very easy to maneuver in.". . . (5/11/20) - "Thank you Katie, our stay was perfect. Your directions and proximity to our route were great. Thank you, we will be back!". . . (5/14/20) - "Very friendly and helpful, basic accommodations as described. Very convenient overnight stop.". . . (10/29/20) - "This is a nice, clean facility convenient to I-10. I didn't get to meet Katie, who was away on business, but her son, Jack, met me as I drove in and took great care of me. The grounds are neatly maintained and the shedrow was clean and solidly built. There is plenty of room for big rigs. It was a great experience and I hope to return one day. Thanks for your hospitality, Jack.". . . (12/5/21) - "I've stayed at Katie’s place four times over the past 6 years, and it's always a pleasure. Katie is so nice and accommodating. Easy access from I-10, easy in and out, and big rig friendly. There's a nice truck stop right where you exit. The stalls and entire place are clean and well maintained. Great stop over!"

(3/1/21) - "Fantastic host able to adjust to time changes. Super friendly, helpful, and great with communication. My horses loved their big stalls for their night of rest.". . . (2/19/22) - "Golden Curls Ranch was an awesome experience. The owner was responsive, helpful and made me feel very comfortable overnighting my horses. She and her help were always checking and asking if I needed assistance and also okay with me arriving at a late hour and leaving early in the am. I will, for sure, be stopping there again. One of the best overnights I have stopped at. Nice pasture and clean waters! Thank you Angie.". . . (7/21/22) - "Angie was lovely and very accommodating! Beautiful facility and horses— spacious, clean, and well-kept. I would love to come back to visit for longer in the future!"

(11/7/20) - "Great experience!. We changed our arrival date a number of times, and each time Scott was flexible and accommodating. Scott had shavings and fresh water awaiting our horses. He unhooked our trailer, and even cleaned the droppings from our trailer. The farm is away from traffic, gated, and the owners live about 30 feet from the barn, so I felt very comfortable leaving the horses overnight while my wife and I stayed at a local hotel. I was able to exercise the horse in the nearby round pen, too. Next time I pass thru Tyler, Texas, we will definitely use Scott at Casa Cassel II Arabians again!". . . (4/4/21) - "One of our best stops! Very quiet, horse stalls were all ready with shavings, water and hay! Horses were able to stretch their legs in the arena. Everyone got a great nights rest. Thanks Scott!". . . (10/27/21) - "Scott was so nice! He greeted us, and helped us get parked and the horse settled. Easy to access of I 20. I’d definitely stay here again.". . . (1/29/22) - "We arrived at dark time and Scott was there waiting to help us get settled and had everything ready for the horses. Such great people and very, very helpful. We will be back!". . . (2/28/22) - "By far, the best place I have stayed at! We arrived late at night, and Scott was out waiting for us to help hook up and unload the horses! 100% recommended.". . . (3/8/22) - "Scott was super friendly. Stalls very nice and well bedded. Trailer close so I could do a late check easily. Would definitely stay again.". . . (5/4/22) - "Scott's a true horseman and it shows. My horse has stayed here twice and it's so nice to bring him here and know he's in Scott's good hands. Fewer than 10 minutes to pet-friendly hotels and services. Scott even cleans out your trailer for you. What a kindness after a long day on the road! A+.". . . (7/13/22) - "Outstanding place to stay. Small apartment on site, better kept than motels with every amenity in it. Stalls, and facilities were fantastic. Host, Scott, was a pleasure to do business with and a horseman himself. Will definitely be back. Thank you Scott and Helen.". . . (2/14/23) - "Highly recommend. Scott is a very attentive host. Stalls were ready and he helped us clean the trailer and get settled. Close to lodging and food. For our second stay we stayed in rooms he had on the property which were very well appointed. Will stay here again on our way through the Tyler/Lindale area.". . . (4/29/23) - "This place is awesome. Scott is a great host, and even will clean your trailer. Facility is very clean and practical. I wish the weather had been better the night I arrived so I could have ridden. Room to stay over in is perfect!". . . (6/27/23) - "The owner was extremely friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend this place to stop if you are traveling.". . . (9/18/23) - "I texted with the need of a same day stay. Scott got right back to me with all the information. He didn't care what time I arrived, just wanted an idea of an ETA. As I got closer I was able to give a narrowed down time. He met me at the gate and lead me in. Once parked, he showed us to our overnight stall. Then he cleaned out my trailer as I got my horse and self settled. That was a first and much appreciated!! Was a quiet facility. Scott was friendly and helpful but not intrusive.". . . (10/31/23) - "Scott was very accommodating, cleaned trailer upon arrival, cleaned stalls when we left. Had a nice shaded round pen for our pair of Arabs and inside stalls at night. Great place to lay over.". . . (2/27/24) - "Accommodations were perfect. Very nice, clean stalls, which had nice thick shavings, 2 buckets of fresh water, fan in stall and our trailer was picked clean. Bunk house was clean and well stocked with all the comforts of home. Mr. Scott and his family were very nice and helpful. I recommend anyone traveling with horses in the Lindale area to contact Mr. Scott."

Comments: (10/5/22) - "Heaven on earth, really beautiful facility.". . . (7/2/23) - "Clean facility and great for big rigs. Unfortunately, we never got to meet the owners, as we came in at 11pm, but didn’t see them in the morning either. I guess because they had a youth camp going on. Owners seemed friendly on the phone. This is the first horse motel I went to, that did not have a water bucket ready and filled in the stall. That was a little inconvenient, as we had to dig out our buckets. Other than that, nice place to stay for the price!"

Comments: (10/18/23) - "Meredith was super friendly and easy to communicate with. She filled us in on our stall setup days before because the night of our stay, {she} and her family were at a wedding. We enjoyed the kitties and the pig. He made himself comfy in with our horse for the night which was actually welcomed since he was a solo traveler for this trip. Probably my only "complaint" was I didnt know where to dung out my trailer so we ended up taking it along to our next stop. I probably could have asked but didnt want to disrupt the nuptials!"

Fresh hay and water were waiting for us upon arrival. Stayed two nights to take advantage of proximity to LBJ Presidential Library in Austin and then visit LBJ Ranch in Johnson City. Also gave us a chance to check out Pedernales Falls State Park for a future visit. Thanks Randy for being very accommodating!"

(11/29/22) - "It was nice and very easy to get to and easy to get around. We had a very good stay.". . . (2/21/23) - "Very nice place to lay over. A short distance from interstate. Nice stalls with runs. Easy to get my 34 foot living quarters trailer in and out. Sure planning on staying there again.". . . (5/15/23) - "AMAZING! We cannot say enough about our one night stay here - Tomas and Teresa met us (even though we were late), on our 3rd night of a cross country moving trip with 3 horses. Circular, easy to turn around drive. Runs had stud paneling, perfect size for our guys, really nice box stalls at the back, exterior lighting, easy access hose, gorgeous views, quiet and peaceful, safe and secure. We could tell our horses were happy and felt safe. The word "bunk house" doesn't do the accommodations justice. The bunk house is all custom, multiple bunks from queen to twin, curtains forn privacy. Great AC for hot nights. There is a great room/kitchen with tons of space for a larger group, everything you could need. Bathrooms were well appointed, well beyond any expectations we had, better than some nice hotels! Lovely front porch for a quiet cup of coffee or afternoon libations. We stayed one extra day due to a horse issue, and we couldn't have asked for a better host and accommodations for that!!!! We would stay here with or without horses. This stay made our entire trip.". . . (5/25/23) - "Beautiful place! Nice stalls with runs. Very clean and well-kept. Property is immaculate. Nice large RV space with plenty of room for large trailer. Easy access off the interstate. Nicest people, very welcoming and accommodating. Will definitely stay again!". . . (7/31/23) - "I was very impressed with Double T Horse Ranch. The facility was well kept, easy to locate, well lit (even arriving close to midnight, we were able to locate everything we needed), the stalls and runs were clean, well-built, large, and most of all… safe! My horses don’t lay down much when we travel and all 3 of ours laid flat out for a good sleep! Full hookups allowed us to drain our tanks after being on the road and take a nice long shower. Our hosts, Thomas and his wife, were so sweet and accommodating and even came out to introduce themselves and help with our break down to leave. Manure cart and fork were there on site for easy cleanup. Water buckets and feed buckets are available if you want to use them as well as close water with a hose to make taking care of the horses quick and easy. We will definitely return and are happy to give recommendations to Double T for anyone needing a nice, safe place to stop. Our trailer is 45’ long and we were able to get into the facility fairly easily when accessing the property from the south side. There are railroad tracks coming from the north. If your trailer is longer than 45’, you may have issues with the tracks. 5 ⭐". . . (8/19/23) - "Great place, Gated dusk to dawn, light by hookups, provided 50 amp to 30 amp adapter. Shaded, lighted stalls with run-out area. Big Rig friendly.". . . (1/27/24) - "My daughter was traveling from Virginia to southern Texas and was on the last leg of the trip. She needed a horse hotel for the last night and we found Double T Ranch in Millsap, TX. Tomas was very accommodating for her 4 horses, two trucks, a LQ trailer & bumper pull trailer. He was very easy to work with and my daughter said it was a really nice place. We recommend Double T Ranch 100% and will be keeping Tomas’ number for use in the future.". . . (3/18/24) - "The BEST Horse Hotel we have stayed at . Great location, easy to find, easy check in, stalls are nice with paddock, my kids didn’t want to leave! Host was great! We will be back."

Comments: (3/5/21) - "We have been lucky to stay here twice over the last few months! We came in December with one horse to stall. And back again in Feb/March with 5 horses to stall and put in the pasture. The horse facilities are simple, clean and comfortable for our herd. And the large round pen is a huge plus. It's an easy 30 minutes drive to Cowtown & Will Roger's and about a 45 minute drive to Shepherd's Valley in Alvarado. Depending on time of day, add another 15 minutes because of traffic. An outdoor riding center about 10 minutes up the road & tons of restaurants, stores, laundry mat near by. The bunkhouse is small and quaint but comfortable; we've had 4 people stay here and had no problems making it work. A double bed, single bed & a futon. A tv with antenna and counter with keurig, microwave and mini fridge. Basic utensils and plateware. Most of our days were spent offsite but when we had a day or afternoon to relax it was heaven. The hosts are phenomenal. Friendly, helpful and always available if we needed a recommendation or an extra hand. They even invited us for a cookout on a day of rest!! We are very reluctant to share this rare hidden gem as we'd like to keep it all to ourselves but they deserve the recognition. With zero hesitation, the next time we are coming to the Fort Worth area, we will be staying here every time.". . . (12/31/21) - "Absolutely wonderful people, place and facility. We came through with our small herd of Nigerian dwarf goats and stayed overnight in the bunkhouse (along with a stall for the goats). Wonderful, small farm with horses and cows onsite. Great location. Would highly recommend!! Just know how to maneuver your rig to get around the gates and you will thoroughly enjoy your stay :-)". . . (2/22/23) - "This was my first time traveling to TX with my mare. The facility where the rodeo was being held didn’t have stalls, and I don’t own a LQ. So I was so happy to come across Windy Mane. I will stay here time and time again! From Ms. Sonya to the facility, it was all wonderful!"

Comments: (10/28/20) - "This is a great facility owned and operated by a very friendly couple. It's not on a major travel route so might be better suited for a longer stay than just a quick overnight, in and out type of layover. It's very close to the Gulf of Mexico in a quiet fishing town. The structures on the facility including the barn, fencing, round pen, etc., are solidly built and safe for your horse(s). The property is clean and makes a person feel like their horses would be properly cared for and in good hands. I had an awesome amberjack filet at the nearby "The Treasure Key Restaurant," right on the water. ("Thank you, Lightning!") I surely hope to return for a longer stay next time!

(9/11/23) - "The following review has been edited by the web site administrator: The owner was accommodating with our delayed arrival due to issues we had on our drive in. The pictures online {don't} look like how the place is today. Says it is easy on and off access from highway. . . . The last 25-30 minutes of the drive was {difficult}. . . there was some road construction that we were not told about. Some of the turns were awful, roads were so bumpy and the roads were narrow. . . . there is . . . no internet service or cell service . . . ."

Comments: (3/16/23) - "We had the privilege of being the first equine customers to layover at Breezy Acres Horse Farm. Close to Sherman, not far off of 82. Beautiful place. We had the option of roomy stalls, or semi-covered runs or pasture. Since our horses were accustomed to pasture and we’d been on the road all day, we chose pasture with a run-in. Nice safe fences & automatic waterers. Host was very nice and friendly and was waiting for us upon arrival. Secure location. We will go back if ever in the vicinity again."

Comments: Administrator's Note: This facility is under new ownership as of 6/21/22 so the comments before that date are for the former owners but the new owners are anxious to continue to provide great service and accommodations, as well.
(11/29/11) - "Excellent facilities. Extremely accommodating and helpful. The best by far.". . . (9/4/12) - "This place had easy access off of I-20 with truck stop/food at exit ramp. Great place to stay, nice facility, really nice people and will recommend to all friends. Will stay again if out that way!". . . (1/16/16) - "Beautiful facilities, nice options for stalls. Great service. There's also a feed store nearby. We'll definitely stay again!". . . (4/1/19) - "The nicest folks you will meet. Greg and Linda are superb. Good East Texas hospitality. The facility is super nice and perfectly clean at all times.". . . (12/11/20) - "This was my favorite stay on our road trip to Texas from Florida. It’s literally just a mile or so off the interstate and is easy to find which is something I value. This is a large facility so you can get in and get out easily. The barn was amazing, nice and secure, cozy and they even have a welcoming committee of kitties and very friendly dogs which my toddler son loved to have something to play with. We stayed in the horse trailer, utilized a hook up which overlooked a lake. I wish we could have stayed here forever. A lot of horse hotels usher you straight into a stall but Linda let me turn him out into the arena for a while which he truly appreciated being able to stretch his legs and play. Thank you again for taking such good care of Perky!". . . (11/3/21) - "Love this place!! Lovely in and out for a big rig! Great hook up on the grass with a tree. Our dog even got to go in the pond. Very relaxing setting and super friendly owners! Clean, neat and nice stalls.". . . (9/22/22) - "Wonderful host. Paid attention to every detail. Super accommodating and great facilities. Highly recommend.". . . (3/3/24) - "I really enjoyed my stay. I used their facility for several days before continuing to Ft Worth to show. They had a flag to use also that was wonderful. Nice quiet facility with very friendly staff. Will stay there again. Super close to freeway and fuel for big rigs."

Comments: (10/12/15) - "Very nice. Easy in and out from I-20. Fair price. Would highly recommend." . . . (1/9/16) - "Easily accessible, quiet, clean. The paddocks are a great size, safe. Our mules were happy and felt right at home.". . . (10/31/18) - "Very easy access from I-20; the stalls and paddocks are in great shape and the host even made arrangements for a vet to come out and found hay for me. I was able to use the round pen and work another horse in the arena. I always recommend VZ stalls when asked.". . . (3/20/19) - "Jennifer has the perfect overnight stop for you and your horses. Easy access right off I-20, an exit west of Van, Texas. Large paddock (huge), secure and safe. Very clean and well maintained! RV electric and water. Also very reasonable prices. Great host!". . . (1/29/21) - "Extremely well-maintained facility. Very safe and so easy to get to. Choices of paddock sizes from very large for several horses to single horse size. Stalls were nice and roomy and well ventilated. Don’t pass this one up if you’re coming through.". . . (11/13/22) - "Absolutely loved our stay at VZ Stalls! Jennifer was ready upon our arrival to show us to our spacious and safe paddock. My gelding was so happy to have room to run and graze after a long trailer ride. Her new guest cabin was so beautiful and pet friendly. Extremely affordable, safe, and comfortable. We also had trouble loading our horse the next morning and Jennifer was kind enough to help us. Can't recommend her facility enough!"

Comments: (5/3/23) - "Great host! We arrived earlier than expected and they got us all situated as soon as we pulled in. Had turn out for our horses to stretch their legs. Big, nice, breezy stalls with mats, shavings, and big clean water tubs. Big wheel barrel to clean out our trailer that they dumped for us. We came with quite a few dogs and they happily accommodated us. They have big kennels but we had a trailer we keep them in but what a great idea as most horse people have multiple dogs !!!! Definitely will stay here again!"

Comments: (10/4/11) - "Owners were available via email and telephone prior to arrival for precise directions to property and even arranged to have their farrier come out a couple hours after we got there since my horse had pulled a shoe the night before in a different state where it was impossible to find a farrier to come out until two days later (!) Falconwood's farrier was punctual and professional. Our horses had clean stalls, fresh water, and anything else they needed. Mr. Everett was very hospitable and showed us around the property, which is gated and in a lovely location. The apartment was clean and had everything anyone would need for a comfortable stay. We (as well as our animals) enjoyed overnighting at Falconwood after an 8 hour drive and highly recommend the facility to anyone travelling through the area with horses.". . . (11/12/11) - "My gelding is 17.1 hands so I was thrilled the stall was an over-sized one (12'x14' ?). Host was very friendly and helpful. Lots of hotels around and a few food places. Facility is gated. Would definitely recommend this horse hotel!". . . (6/4/13) - "I boarded my horse at Falconwood in Winnie, TX while spending a few days riding on the beach south of Winnie. The facility is top notch and the people are wonderful, they take care of your horse like it was their own. I felt completely at ease leaving my horse and trailer there while visiting in Houston. The people live on the property and there is a security gate at the entrance. I recommend them if you are in the area.". . . (12/12/13) - "Great facility and host. Waited for our late arrival. Thank you.". . . (5/24/14) - "This was horse nirvana. It was so nice my horses didn't want to leave. Great accommodations and everything we needed was within one mile of the farm.". . . (1/12/15) - "Dr. Kellie Kay and her marvelous husband and her barn manager were so wonderfully cordial to me and my 11 polo ponies on a rainy and cold night after a long drive! They will be on my "must stop" list from here on out.". . . (3/5/16) - "We only stayed one night and they were great, friendly people. It is so beautiful there you won't want to leave! Thank you for your hospitality!". . . (4/26/16) - "There was a small stall for my mare. She is a small quarter horse which was good. I noticed they had larger stalls for larger horses. This is a vet clinic which gives you a lot of comfort. There was a larger turnout so my mare could move around after the haul. The overnight cottage for the owner is adequate. Not fancy but allowed one to sleep in the cool air-conditioning. Has a bathroom with shower and toilet. TV. I would stay here again if need be. The hosts were very hospitable! Thank you for all your help.". . . (4/29/16) - "What a beautiful place for a horse. The cleanliness and security were such a relief after a long day on the road. Really impressive.". . . (11/3/21) - "Very nice host and groom! But, be prepared to be right next to a very busy barn, vet and dog rescue. Dogs barking 24/7. Not very relaxing. It’s an efficient place for a quick overnight.". . . (1/30/21) - (Note from the administrator: The owner of the facility wrote to say that she has opened up an animal shelter off-property and is no longer doing dog rescue at this facility so the dogs that were referenced in a prior comment are no longer there.). . . (5/16/22) - "Excellent place, will return next year!!". . . (6/26/22) - "Very beautiful place! And a turnout pasture to let horses out for a bit before you put them in the stalls was a HUGE plus after an 11 hour travel day!"
