Comments: (3/8/11) - "This is my third stay in the facility. I usually come in after hours and my stall is marked for me and easy to find in the complex. I would recommend this facilty to anyone traveling through Baton Rouge.". . . (3/22/11) - "Great facility, although you are pretty much on your own once you get checked in. The camping facilities are a short distance from the barn, but the spots are big, and the hook ups are nice. Plus not showering in a tiny trailer shower is nice. Oh, and the fact that there is a sewer dump on site was a bonus!"

Comments: (6/14/07) - "Cypress Creek is a wonderful horse hotel. Mr. and Mrs. Talton were very friendly and helpful. Mrs. Talton spoke with us several times on the phone before our arrival and even met us in her vehicle and guided us in. The stalls were very clean and roomy. After traveling 14 hours the day before our horse didn't want to get on the trailer for another day of travel; Mr. Talton was a big help loading our horse. I would recommend Cyress Creek to anyone traveling.". . .(11/9/08) - "Georgeous Place! Easy to get to, easy to get the big trailer in and out! Very nice barn. Billy Jack and Carolyn are THE nicest people! Very friendly and even stayed up late waiting for us. Nice quiet and safe place.". . . (8/17/10) - "What gracious and respectful hosts. Beautiful facility, restful and safe. Thankyou for a positive experience on a very long journey!"

(1/15/08) - "Excellent place to stay for my horse, extremely helpful people, very safe. Thank you!". . .(2/10/10) - "These people and this facility are really blessed. My daughter and I and her horse traveled alone from CA to GA, and we were cared for and blessed by these wonderful people. Everyone should stay here.". . .(5/7/08) - "All the previous comments are correct. For my first long distance trip I was glad they were my first and last stop. God has greatly blessed these folks with generous and willing hospitality!". . .(7/27/08) - "This is the most family friendly environment! We will definitely be back!". . .(8/14/08) - "Pastor James was incredibly kind and hospitable during our stay. We arrived at 1:30am on a Saturday night with my vehicle overheating. Pastor James was waiting for us as we pulled in, got us all settled and showed us all around the facilities. Made certain our horses, our trailers and we were all safe, sound and confortable for the night. Early the next morning the coffee was ready and Pastor James was watering the horses before we awoke. We plan on returning ANY time we pass through Louisiana again and need a rest stop. We are very happy we found this facility.". . . (6/23/09) - "Kind, friendly people and awsome facility to keep horses; very safe. Plug in for RV...". . . (3/1/11) - "Pastor James and Kay are amazing people! Super accommodating and have awesome great rates for overnight stay. They have a cabin that is just delightful and if you have a horse who is hard to load, James will lend you a hand. Great for horses and weary travellers to stay overnight or for a week. There's nothing like their hospitality around in the area. We appreciated their place, their always keeping in touch and willingness to help out the weary traveller who is pit stopping in the Shreveport area. THANK YOU BOTH and GOD BLESS!". . . (3/22/11) - "The Gilberts were wonderful hosts; they even accommodated us when we came in a day early on short notice. We had been on the road over 10 hours when we arrived and Jim was extremely helpful in getting the horses and ourselves settled in. The horses were able to relax in their large stalls filled with shavings. We feel like we now have friends in LA.". . . (4/5/11) - "Our stay was an outstanding experience in all ways. The Gilberts are knowledgeable/experienced horse people. I felt welcomed and my horse safe. I would return to their farm anytime I needed accommodations.". . . (5/7/11) - "Our hosts were wonderful. We came in later than expected and they welcomed us as if we were on time. My horse stayed in their round pen which they equipped with not one but two water buckets. In the morning Mr. Gilbert provided me with a prop I needed to school my horse for an upcoming competition. I would give the hosts and their facility the highest marks possible.". . . (5/7/11) - "The Gilberts were extremely friendly and willing to accommodate all of our needs. I would stay there again anytime, and recommend this facility without reservation!". . . (5/19/11) - "The Gilberts farm/equestrian center was AMAZING! The Facilities were first class and extremely affordable. The barn was super nice, new and modern, in a beautiful country setting right off the highway. The Gilberts stayed up waiting for us when we were having trouble with our trailer and took hours longer than expected. They waited up till 11pm, waited outside near the road to help us find the place, then helped offload our horses and took them inside to the stalls (which were clean and spacious). Mr. Gilbert fed our horses and made sure they were fine before closing up the barn. Meanwhile Mrs. Gilbert took us to our cabin next to the barn. The cabin was super clean and very modern with every convenience anyone could want, including a kitchen with dining table. The Gilberts took the time to go over how everything worked including coffee maker, AC (ice cold) fridge, shower with thick towels, and everything in the kitchen. They also provided us with FREE snacks and a nice continental breakfast that included coffee, bagels and strawberry cream cheese, several types of fruit, several types of cereal, fresh milk, soft drinks, bottled water, juice; you name it, that little cabin had it. In the morning they let us sleep in and were very quiet until they knew we were up and around. After a late night driving then they helped us load our 3 Thoroughbred horses back into the trailer and noticed what our problem had been on the previous part of the trip. Mr. Gilbert pointed out that we had a bad tire that was causing all our trouble and that knowledge helped improve the rest of our trip by enabling us to get a new tire and vastly improving our trailer handling. BOTTOM line is that the Gilberts are SUPER FOLKS!! I was so surprised to find this caliber of service and genuine warmth. I felt so at home staying in their cabin next to my horses. We were genuinely blessed to find Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert. They are fine folks and we will never stay anyplace else in that part of the country. They treated us like family.". . . (5/20/11) - "I cannot say anything good enough about Gilbert Farms.Thay waited up on us, unloaded our horses. Their barn is extra clean and extra nice. The cabin was above and beyond what we expected. The best part is the Gilberts who make you feel like family. I feel as our discovering their special Farm was a BLESSING to myself and my daughter.Thank you once more to the GILBERTS. Marianne Stewart.". . . (2/15/12) - "Mr. James and Mrs. Kay were amazing! My horses were very happy and I would love to stay there again!"

Comments: (9/18/11) - "We stopped over on our way from TX to GA and what a pleasant surprise! This facility is so special and unique I would recommend it to all of my horse friends. The owners met us upon arrival and did everything they could to make our visit relaxing. Jeannie even went and bought us hamburgers. Great facility and great family running it. Completely trustworthy. I would give it 5 stars and recommend it to anyone.". . . (9/18/11) - "Wonderful hosts and very helpful with my horse and trailer. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thanks for making this such a pleasant and convenient stay for my horse. Loved the location too, so close to I-12.". . . (9/19/11) - "Super place to lay over. Lovely farm, and lovely hosts. Would stay again without hesitation! Thank you so much!". . . (12/10/11) - "Lovely, friendly owners, beautiful bathroom and shower to use. New. Would highly reccomend!". . . (2/27/12) - "We had a very nice experience here! We were traveling from Wellington, Florida to Los Angeles, California; after leaving Tallahassee it was a very nice distance to Slidell. My horse had an oversized stall and was very happy. I felt extremely comfortable leaving my horse here while we went to New Orleans for dinner. The owners were very friendly, helpful and professional. I would recommend anyone to stay here as I will again for sure. Thanks so much!"

Comments: (1/25/11) - "This place was probably in my top 5 best horse motels I've ever stayed with & I've stayed all over the country due to military moves. Mark was extremely friendly & accommodating. I felt very safe leaving my mare with him & he went way above & beyond what he needed to do. I would reccomend this place to anyone! Thanks, Mark!". . . (3/11/11) - "We are on our way home and stopping here again for an overnighter. Mark is a great guy and our experience here the first time through in December of 2010 was very positive. Only issue is the approach to enter - the driveway is a short apron that is a bit steep. Wasn't sure if our 32' trailer would have an issue bottoming out when we left, but it didn't.". . . (3/19/11) - "This is our fourth long distance move using horse motels and P&M is by far our favorite. Mark was great when we arrived, the barn was bright and very clean, stalls are large and the whole place felt very secure. Mark even moved his pony so we could turn out our very trailer-tired gelding into his large arena to stretch and roll before going to his stall for the night. We would definitely stay again!". . . (8/24/11) - "This place was great, the hospitality was great and it was handy to get in with a trailer and park with good horse facilities.". . . (8/29/11) - "Close to Interstate exit. Feed and hay available, great store at premises. Very close to great hotels and restaurants. Highly recommended."
