Comments: (4/25/23) - "Josh is a great host, vary helpful and friendly!! I am a professional horse hauler and was needing to overnight two horses. Great location, right of I-35... We were also able to let our horses stretch their legs a bit in a paddock, too, before it got dark. Oh, and the other thing that was fabulous was Josh cleaned the stalls for us so we were able to get back on the road faster in the morning. In the morning he knew I was done with the adventure and backed the trailer into position for loading and took care of trailer bedding. Would easily pay twice the amount he charged. Comments: (2/12/24) - "Leanne is the most gracious host. She makes sure your needs are taken care of while giving you your own space. The animals at her place are clearly taken care of as are the overnight guests. The arena has great footing and being able to play with cows is an added bonus!". . . (5/26/24) - "We have stayed here twice. Leanne is a great host. With the addition of 20 covered stalls, it is exactly what we need. The views are amazing. There is a huge outdoor arena and sorting pens where we let our horse roll and stretch their legs. Water is available right next to the stalls. There are a couple bar/restaurants within 2 miles with good food. Highly recommend this location."

(Editor's Comments): Due to the large amount of feedback we have received on this facility, all of it positive, we've posted only the more recent comments. We thank everybody who has sent in so many nice comments.
(8/22/17) - "After a 20 hours drive from Belgrade MT to Monticello MN, we found on horsemotel.com the best and beautiful place right off of I-94 to stay overnight at Cardinal Crest Farm,. Sue and Randy, the owners of the place, received us with a big smile at 12.45 AM! They waited for us this late in the night and had 2 large stalls ready with plenty of shavings and already filled up buckets of water for our horses. They let us use the round pen to allow the horses to roll on their back and stretch. Randy guided Tomas to where we could plug in the Rolling Mansion. In the morning Sue let us sleep and took care of the horses, filling up their water buckets and making sure they were ok. She offered us coffee and we are leaving with some apples that Louis picked up from the tree and a dozen of fresh eggs! People like Sue and Randy make traveling with horses so much easier and we feel blessed to get the chance to have them on our path. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality; we are well rested and ready to be on the road again!". . . (10/3/17) - "Exceeds expectations. I would go out of my way to stay here! Our endurance horses may not want to leave those huge, matted, spic & span clean & deeply bedded stalls all prepped with water. And the friendliness of our hosts was extra special!!! Randy and Sue are wonderful, conscientious people with a lovely setup. The barn is great and their stalls are big enough for our Hanovarian stallion and Trakehner Gelding. Sue and Randy were ready and waiting for us in the pouring rain when we pulled in late. Beautiful big, bedded and watered stalls ready for us upon our arrival. Willing to provide us hay and had a spot for us to clean our trailer and all within close proximity to the local hotels. We will for sure be stopping in and using their amenities again.". . .
