Comments: (2/2/16) - "You will not find a better host than Ricky Carey. My horse Smokey and I stayed with Ricky for 4 nights and it was first class treatment. I highly recommend Ricky's for a pleasant stay and excellent care.". . . (3/14/16) - "Very easy to get to from the Interstate. Very close to restaurants and attractions. Big outdoor arena. Small arena in barn with stalls to work your horse or lunge them to work their muscles after being in the trailer.". . . (4/20/16) - "One of the best places to stay; can come in at any hour. Ricky will really take care of you and your horses.". . . (5/16/16) - "Traveling home from Florida to B.C. Canada we had the pleasure of staying at Carey's Farm. Ricky had everything ready for our young stallion; very safe and secure barn. Staying in one of the rental rooms in his house was a bonus as we left early with Ricky and his brother Mitchel seeing us off. Easy on and off the interstate; would highly recommend Carey's. Thanks again Mitchel for the use of your vehicle to go eat and saving us unhooking the trailer. See you in November for the return to Florida!!!". . . (3/19/17) - "Very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.". . . (5/8/17) - "Ricky Carey was the nicest and most polite guy I had met in a long time. He made you feel right at home. If I am ever back in the area I would definitely stop by again. I highly recommend stopping at the Carey Horse Farm.". . . (9/25/17) - "Ricky met us as we pulled in the driveway and gave our horse a nice little pasture to stretch his legs. He then showed us his stall all ready with fresh bedding. Our horse does better if he can see other horses so Ricky brought in one of his own horses into the barn to keep ours company. Ricky is super friendly and helpful. We will be back!!". . . (10/7/17) - "Awesome. Ricky is a very nice host. Allowed horses to stay out on fields. We were allowed to ride in his arena that had cool obstacles.". . . (10/29/17) - "This is the third time we have stayed at Carey Horse Farm. Ricky is a conscientious, hospitable person with a great setup that he is always improving. The barn has big, safe stalls that fit our Hanovarian stallion and Trakehner Gelding. There is lots of room for parking and we always stay in his guest room. Thank you again Ricky!". . . (11/11/17) - "Wonderful facilities; easy to drive in and out. There is a great turn out for the horses and the stalls are great facing an indoor small arena. Great host!". . . (11/23/17) - "Wonderful stay. The owner, Rick, was very helpful and very friendly. He let us drop our trailer for the night so we didn't have to take it to the hotel with us.". . . (7/1/18) - "Ricky is one of the nicest and most accommodating people you will meet. Getting to his facility at night was a little testy .but he met us and guided us in. Once you drive it, no problem. We have a big rig (Motorhome and trailer), easy to get in and out. Big plus is he has 50 amp and sewer hookups. We recommend Ricky.". . . (8/23/19) - "Highly Recommended. Rick and his wife were very hospitable...Quick response and very accommodating. Facility has easy access for large trailers including full hookups. Was very impressed and will be telling all my friends.

(5/3/16) - "The host was very accommodating on extremely short notice.". . . (6/21/16) - "Rex met us at the barn and was very helpful getting our horse settled. We sat and visited with him on the barn porch, it was so homey we could have sat there all night!! He was very helpful in steering us towards motels and restaurants. We would highly recommend this facility.". . . (5/27/18) - "Rex was an awesome host. He went out of his way for a family emergency for us. Got out of bed and met us at the barn @ 10:30pm. We didn't have hay because our goal was to make it home in Georgia. Thanks to him, our furry 4 legged family member was safe in a roomy, clean stall with fresh water. Bueatiful facility I would recommend to anyone traveling thru Kentucy.". . . (10/17/16) - "Awesome place to stay! I highly recommend staying here.". . . (10/17/16) - "Rex and Gayle were very, very nice and accommodating. Very cute place and beautiful setting. Will definitely use again.". . . (11/5/16) - "Thank you Rex .. we will be back. Your place was a great place to stay at. God bless.". . . (12/17/16) - "Rex was great- friendly and very accommodating, meeting us at 10pm. Our horses appreciated the nice big stalls to have a drink and spend the night, and a third stall for our 2 shorthairs. Only 10 minutes to hotels. We will be happy to return!". . . (1/19/17) - "Great place and nice people. Would definitely stay again!". . . (3/12/17) - "Very friendly hosts. Met us at the end of his road to guide us in as we arrived after dark. Rex went out of his way to make sure our horses and we were settled in for the night. Sue and Dave.". . . (5/10/17) - "FANTASTIC!!". . . (9/10/17) - "The Williams were very hospitable hosts while we stayed in Lexington. Private and quiet ranch setting with clean and dry stalls. Thanks again !!. . . (11/18/17) - "Outdoor paddock area which our horses prefer was clean and dry. Wheelbarrel and buckets were handy and the view spectacular. Rex drove into Lexington to unload horses and transport them to his place after our trailer broke down. Highly recommended. Would definitely stay there again.". . . (11/23/17) - "Great stay! The driveway is a little intimidating at night with a large trailer but the owner, Rex, came out and helped us get turned around. The barn is rustic but very safe. Stall was clean and heavily bedded with plenty of water.". . . (1/13/18) - "Very nice stopover. Beautiful views. Large, safe stalls. Driveway is a bit steep. We have a 38 ft. RV and pull a 3 horse, so I consider it to be big rig friendly. 2 thumbs up.". . . (3/6/18) - "Rex was amazing and took us in at the last minute when another location completely flaked out. The horses were very happy and relaxed. We will definitely stay there again!". . . (4/25/18) - "Love this place. Very welcoming, laid back, and super friendly! The stall set up was perfect! Great job on your barn btw, you did an awesome job! Even fell in love with the super friendly pup! Highly recommend!! Thanks again for all your help! Will use this barn again if I ever need to.". . . (5/15/18) - "Very friendly and welcoming. We stayed one night with our horse and two dogs. Had electric hookup for our camper. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great overnight spot!". . . (8/22/18) - "Located south of Lexington, off I-75 in beautiful horse country. The oak wood barn was rustic but solid and the stalls are large. The host was waiting for us at the last turn because it was dark and late when we arrived. We stayed at a motel 10 mikes away with our 2 dogs. Our 2 horses were relaxed and rested in the morning. A paddock for turnout was the only item missing .... We will stay again if passing this way again.". . . (5/23/19) - "Friendly people, lovely barn, peaceful setting. Highly recommended.". . . (9/21/19) - "Very friendly owners!". . . (11/22/19) - "October 2019. The facilities are humble but within easy distance to the freeway. I very much enjoyed chatting with Rex. He was very friendly, accommodating and wonderful with his mules. I would stay again.". . . (10/22/21) - "Very nice hosts. We arrived about 1am and they were happy to take care of us. Nice size stalls and good facility with round pen turn out. Definitely recommend and would stay there again.". . . (11/4/21) - "Stayed here last night with our 3 horses. Rex was very welcoming and accommodating. Everything was ready for us to get our horses settled right in."

(7/10/15) - "We can't say enough wonderful things about this facility and Steve and Wanda! Always clean, safe, wonderful stalls, wonderful paddocks and kind, thoughtful folks! They are always prepared for our visits!! The owners have made everything we needed and wanted happen. Helped us get the horses in when it stormed, even though we did not ask for stalls! They are close to the highway, easy in and out! Close to fuel, hotels and restaurants! We would recommend them to anyone! Stayed with them going back and forth across the country for years! Wonderful place to stay with your horses!". . . (7/12/15) - "This is a wonderful facility. I will certainly stay here again the next time we are traveling through KY. We were delayed due to road construction and called to let Steve know we were running late. He assured us it wasn't a problem and greeted us pleasantly when we arrived 3 hours late. He made sure our pony was comfortable in their beautiful barn. I was impressed that they checked for health paperwork. The farm is conveniently located within 2 miles of the interstate. Hotels and restaurants are in close proximity.". . . (7/27/15) - "The utmost SUPERB care of my horses-have made friends for life! Steve & Wanda go above and beyond for their clients and horses, and their facility is Beautiful and clean-I go back every year, and can't wait for my next visit!". . . (5/8/16) - "Steve and Wanda were the perfect hosts for us. The property and stalls are beautiful. Clean, lovely pastures and very accessible to both lodging and expressways. They greeted us with kindness and even called to report how the horses were doing within hours of my leaving the barn. I am very happy to have found this home away from home.". . . (8/9/16) - "Steve and Wanda were great; facility was clean and easy to get in and out of. We will stay with them again.". . . (8/25/16) - "We've been utilizing Saddles and Sheets as a rest stop for many years. Always great to see Steve and know the horses are in good hands while getting a good nights sleep. The whole experience is always a 10 out of 10! Thanks Steve! See you soon, Zach.". . . (11/7/16) - "My friend and I overnighted our horses here In October 2016, and our stay was absolutely perfect. The paddocks are large, clean, safe, and full of grass -- and include automatic waterers. We didn't stay in the barn, but we did check it out and the barn is spotless with big, airy stalls. The management is super nice; professional, and helpful. Easy to find and to get in and out of with a trailer. Not far off the highway. Very quiet and private. Definitely recommend!". . . (12/16/16) - "Only stayed 1 night with my 2 horses while passing through but would have loved to stay forever. The owner, Wanda, is lovely and helped us get a discount at a lovely hotel in town. Beautiful, safe facility that my horses loved. They ran around the pasture for about 30 minutes then pigged out on the lush grass. I did not use the stalls as the weather was nice but they were available if I needed them. Would stay there again in a heart beat.". . . (1/2/17) - "Our mare horse stayed at Saddles & Sheets in the fall of 2016. Steve and Wanda were wonderful hosts and super helpful. We unloaded late at night and our mare was able to stay in a big, well ventilated stall. The next day we visited the city of Lexington and our horse was able to chill in a large pasture all day which is really nice for them when you're driving across the country.". . . (7/21/19) - "Wonderful hosts, great facilities! Enjoyed our stay. Would recommend to others. Highly recommend the one of a kind restaurant in Midway, KY- Darlin Jeans!". . . (11/8/20) - "Great small farm off Interstate 64 in Midway, KY. My horse had his own acre (at least) of well fenced paddock. Plentiful grass and water, super secure fencing, and within view of the owner’s house. Happy to recommend for anyone passing through."

(10/3/21) - "Called here when the barn we had arranged could not accommodate us - had prepaid but she did refund us - and Kelly had stalls and hook up available. The facility is gorgeous, easy to get into, even with the big rig, very clean, well organized, and everyone was very friendly. We would definitely stop here again. They had well bedded stall, water already in there. Everything was very clean."
