(Editor's Comments): Due to the large amount of feedback we have received on this facility, all of it positive, we've posted only the more recent comments. We thank everybody who has sent in so many nice comments.)
(1/13/10) - "John and Eileen were wonderful; we felt very welcome in their home. The horse accommodations are top notch! My horse was able to be in a stall that also had a paddock so he could stretch his legs after being cooped up. Would love to stay with them again! Don't miss this wonderful facility!". . . (7/4/10) - "Awesome! GREAT people! GREAT place! John and Eileen were so friendly- they made me and my horse feel very comfortable. Looking for a reason to stop by again!". . . (7/30/10) - "Very ,very nice. . Did not get in til 2am and they were very accommodating. Would highly recommend.". . . (1/2/12) - "The Campbells are the best! I would not want to stay anywhere else. This is our second year staying with them and they are absolutely super.". . . (5/9/12) - "John and Eileen could not have been friendlier nor more helpful. Beautiful rolling property with large pond. Horse immediately comfortable upon arrival. Eileen came back to ensure water buckets were full that night and generously offered to feed in the a.m. John has a good sized air compressor which pumped up our low rear trailer tire. Sadly we were only staying overnight. We will be back! Thank you, John and Eileen.". . . (7/10/12) - "Friendly wonderful owners who went the extra mile to help us out. They waited up for our late arrival, came and met us as we got off the interstate and showed us the way to their ranch. We would highly recommend you spent the night here, we will be making this our regular stop when traveling this way! Very highly recommend you stay here!". . . (1/9/14) - "Very accommodating hosts, available on arrival and ready to help get your horses situated. Clean, safe, comfortable facility. These folks know horses and are very pleasant to stay with.". . . (4/7/14) - "Highly recommended! We arrived after 1 AM, and were warmly welcomed to already prepared stalls even though we booked last second! The barn and property are fantastic, and our room and bathroom were immaculate and comfortable. We will be coming back here!". . . (5/25/14) - "Our hosts were very gracious and accommodating. The facility is beautiful; highly recommend for anybody. They made us feel right at home; the horses were very comfortable and were enjoying themselves. The owers made sure that the needs for horses and us were met over and above. Genuinely nice and knowledgable horse people.". . . (10/10/14) - "I cannot say enough good things about this place! Our hosts, John and Eileen, were some of the kindest people I have ever encountered. John waited for us at the BP in his vehicle so when we came off the interstate at 10pm we could follow him to their place. When we arrived, Eileen was waiting for us and welcomed us and our 2 horses. We had the option of stalls or complete pasture turn out and we opted for turn out since our horses had been trailered for 14 hours that day. Our hosts hooked my RV up to power and water and helped me clean out my trailer. They made sure we were settled and had everything we needed before they went to their home, and that was late! Our night was like heaven, slept so peacefuly not at all worried about a thing. In the morning they were out and available to help me unhook and load up. Once again, John helped me out of the neighborhood by letting me follow him. John and Eileen were like having my parents there to help me, and I am a grown wo man! They were the best hosts I could ask for. I would recommend this place to any equine traveler in Georgia. The horses loved the place as much as we did.". . . (3/8/16) - "This was a great layover facility and we would definitely recommend it to any travelers in the area. The stalls were large, cleanly bedded with 2 fresh buckets of water. The property was large with plenty of room to maneuver our 6 horse head to head around. Both owners, John and Eileen, were there to greet us even though it was a late arrival. They helped us get horses settled in and brought the tractor around so we could clean our trailer out. Eileen checked on horses and re-filled water buckets after we left for the night! She was also up at 5:30 a.m. to help us feed and see us off. There are plenty of hotels and restaurants only 5 minutes from the barn. If you are in the area don't hesitate to stop here and rest for the night. Thanks again John and Eileen. Your help was much appreciated.". . . (11/1/16) - "Could not say enough with the hospitality!! Wow.. I did not want to leave myself. Would highly recommend to anyone passing this way. They went out of their way to make it very relaxing and help us with the horses. Recommend also to stay there. We slept well; had our privacy. Top Notch People!!". . . (5/22/21) - "I highly recommend John and Eileen’s facility! Easy access, friendly hosts, nice barn/paddocks, and beautiful views."

The owner is a problem solver with local connections should you have any issues while traveling. I can't say enough nice things about this beautiful spot so close to I-95 for easy access but at the same time so remote that you can relax and recharge for the next day on the road."

(Editor's Comments): Due to the large amount of feedback we have received on this facility, all of it positive, we've posted only the more recent comments. We thank everybody who has sent in so many nice comments.)
(6/19/14) - "We used Exodus Ranch both coming and going to the Jr High School National Finals Rodeo in June 2012 and I just realized I never left a comment as we are preparing to leave for High School Finals Rodeo. Melody was exceptional. Both times she cooked dinner for us and it was very delicious. Breakfast was awesome as well. Stalls are pristine - turn outs are large. You are behind a gated entrance and it is super convenient off the highway. We had adopted a puppy off the highway in NM and Melody even accommodated the little guy for us as well as let us push back our arrival date to July 4th on our return trip. Would not hesitate to stay here again.". . . (5/23/15) - "I have stayed at this facility numerous times and it is always a pleasure. It is a working farm so it is not immaculate, but it is clean and very safe. I have stayed in one of the apartments and it was immaculately kept. Comfy bed and futon, clean bathroom and satellite TV. The fridge had snacks and drinks. Very close to the highway and food. I will always make this my stop when passing thru the area.". . . (12/4/16) - "Barn and stalls are fabulous! Melody is extremely accommodating and friendly! The apartment over the barn is really nice and VERY clean! This hidden gem is going to be a regular stop for my horse and myself! The ranch accommodated my dogs as well!! We love this place!". . . (7/1/17) - {Administrators Note} - Following are excerpts from comments left by an unhappy customer, edited to retain what is felt are constructive suggestions for consideration. - "Melody was very friendly and accommodating. We were traveling from OK to NC to the Pinto World Show. We arrived at Exodus Ranch at 3am from a 15+ hour drive. I went off reviews and pictures from the web site thinking it was a clean and nice place to stay. When I arrived I had easy instructions on how to get in the gated property. However, I don't recommend it if you have a large trailer, 5+ horses, with the gate and trees. The stall and the barn in the picture is clean and well kept, not so much when we arrived. My horse had old, dirty shavings from other horses being in the stall . . . no poop, or anything, just dirty shavings, spider webs everywhere, and oh the CATS! . . . stuff everywhere, not like the pictures . . . . the smell of cat feces lingers into the apartment which is the lower level to their house . . . their web site says $100 for one night she said $112 when I paid. It was a nice place at one time and needs some work. A pressure washer would go a long way." Following are excerpts from the owner's reply to the customer's comments - "I'm sorry they did not enjoy their stay. There are exactly four barn cats. We represent ourselves as a working horse facility. . . . We make sure all stalls are clean and I'm not sure why she thinks the shavings were dirty. There should not be a lingering feces smell anywhere as the cats are in the barn and not in the house. The majority of people don't have a difficult time getting in and out of the gate but we have had a few. Unfortunately she is correct, our barn is not always spotless. We work horses and have a foster equine mentoring program and special Olympics here. Kids are messy. Also, if we've had a show or a rodeo, sometimes we just come in and download and clean later and...I don't leave gross things by the door but between the time I go to bed and 3 o'clock in the morning who knows what might get drug in. They are barn cats. As for the additional $12, that is only a factor if they use the other bedroom. The apartment comes with one bedroom and a living area in the bathroom. There was a second bedroom area but it is additional. And I let everybody know that when they call ahead. Again, I'm sorry she had a bad experience. . . . (7/8/17) - "Paddock with fresh water was ready for the horses when we arrived. Very family friendly facility.". . . (9/14/17) - "Melody and Joe Pratt are warm, welcoming hosts. The barn was big and beautiful, stalls were sturdy, safe and spacious. They were matted and covered in shavings. The paddocks were large and safe. Living quarters, attached to the barn with convenient access to our horses, were clean and comfortable. The beds were very comfortable and much appreciated after the stress of outrunning the storm. There was plenty of room to park the trailer. Feed stores, restaurants, grocery stores were all within easy reach. Both Melody and Joe were attentive. We had a very positive experience staying with this family for a week and would highly recommend them for travelers and their horses.". . . (7/25/18) - "Highly recommend.". . . (11/2/18) - "Excellent facility, highly recommend.". . . (10/11/20) - "Stayed on 10/09/2020. Stall had clean shavings on arrival and hosts kept in contact and sent detail instructions where everything is. Facility is nice and peaceful. Only negative is it's not easy to get in/out with larger rigs as there is no pull through and you will need to back out. If it is dark, that can be a challenge. The host, Joe, will help you back out, since he's familiar with the property.". . . (5/22/21) - "Very nice people, large clean stall and lovely grounds. I stayed in their apartment and it was super cute, very comfortable and had all the amenities that a hotel room would have."

Will definitely stay again should the need arise and highly recommend!". . . (7/29/18) - "Absolutely wonderful facility. We have a cabin near Sandersville and haven't had it long so we do not have a place to stall or turn out our horses. I found The Twisted K Ranch on the horse motel website. I will definitely be using them again. We have been wanting to take the horses and now we have a place to board them. Absolutely wonderful people; very caring and attentive to my horse. Very clean and also very knowledgeable, knowing we are from Florida so our horse would not be able to stay on the rich grass of Georgia very long. When we picked her up the stall had clean fresh water. Karen was extremely pleasant; she could tell I was concerned about leaving her. She sent me pictures to ease my mind. Thank you again to The Twisted K Ranch."

(9/20/20) - "We stayed with Alice at the beginning of our trip 06/08/20 and at the end 09/20/20. Huge stalls, deep shavings, awesome hospitality. We hooked up or LQ and were very secure. Jump ring, dressage ring, round pen...allowed us to exercise and stretch our horses legs after riding in the trailer. HORSETOWN, USA is right around the corner and nice restaurants in town. Very happy with our stays and would highly recommend. We have a long trailer, 38 ft on roof, and no problem getting in there. Call to get best directions since you have to cross a RR track.". . . (2/28/21) - "Really nice farm. Alice was super nice. The stalls were large, well bedded and had two water buckets already filled when we arrived. Excellent experience.". . . (4/6/21) - "Loved our stay here. Very clean, large, generously bedded stalls. 10/10."

Comments: (5/29/15) - "We were VERY pleased with our stay! The barn was very clean and safe, new big stalls with turnout options, automatic water, 24 hour camera monitoring, it has a huge pretty RV park with cabins available that were awesome!". . . (7/25/16) - "We pulled in a couple hours after the office closed. We called to let them know we would be late and they said to just call the barn manager. We called him on the way and he was just great. We called again as we got off the fwy and he was waiting at the entrance for us. He took us to the barn and made sure my horse was settled and then took us to the cabin we were staying in. Such a nice facility! They have camp grounds and cabins. The barn is brand new, and is very nice!". . . (11/27/16) - "Wonderful facility for our horses. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.". . . Comments: (10/17/09) - "Very good place to overnight.". . . (12/24/13) - "Awesome place to overnight. Will stay here again. Cathy was very helpful and super friendly. We have a very long trailer with living quarters and there was plenty of room to maneuver without backing in the dark. Water and electric are available for RV hookup. Very nice stalls. Thanks again Cathy! Mark and Marie.". . . (9/28/14) - "I would stay here everytime I travel north. Cathy was a sweetheart. Her hospitality went above and beyond. The stalls were clean and safe. The RV hookup was right beside the barn which was lit all night long. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. It's gorgeous and easy to find.". . . (7/7/19) - "I wasn't planning on stopping for the night yet, but plans changed last minute. Mike was super nice and helpful. He gladly prepared 2 stalls right away. He took excellent care of my horses while I stayed at a motel 10 mins away. Then I had a minor truck issue the next morning causing me to get back to my horses later than expected. He gladly took care of them for me until I was able to return. The horses easily settled in and had even laid down. They too were very tired from the long trip, yet felt comfortable and safe to lie down. I would definitely stay here again."

Comments: (9/15/20) - "I found the Little Horne Ranch because I was looking for some place close to Hard Labor Creek and would be on my way to pick up a horse that was in training. When I spoke with Danny to arrange my stay he said that he and his wife would be glad to ride with us. The first day they took us to Harbin Park which had great trails and we saw lots of deer. Our truck tore up on us on the way back which would have basically ended our trip if it hadn't been for the gracious hospitiality of Danny & Pam --- they helped get our truck to the service center and took us riding at Hard Labor Creek the next day. They took us out to supper - pie shopping and, overall, just made sure our vacation wasn't ruined. Pam allowed us to use her car to go check on our vehicle and do some antique shopping. They were very warm-hearted hosts -- we came there as strangers and left as friends with plans to trail ride together again.". . . (11/7/20) - "Danny and Pam, the hosts, were at the end of their driveway to wave us in. What a welcomed sight that was for us after such a long drive with our horses. This place is phenomenal! I felt like I walked into a magazine. Everything was well cared for and groomed. Absolutely beautiful! The hosts were so welcoming. They showed us around and helped us hook up our horse trailer. They fed our horses for us in the morning since we were away. Danny even helped us load our horses. We are very excited to come back in the spring. My husband and I highly recommend this beautiful place!!!". . . (11/21/20) - "Danny and Pam were very accommodating, as yet again, we arrived at our destination in the dark. Our horses were more than happy to stay in a pasture with run-in shed, with a large barrel of fresh water, which they finished by morning. We requested the outdoor because in Mass., they live outdoors with a large run-in shed. Danny met us at the driveway and guided us to our spot. The stalls were clean and large, inside a beautiful, roomy barn. A perk, that was a welcome comfort to me, was they let us rent an apartment that was housed in the barn. All pine wood, complete with fridge, stove, dining table, full bathroom, and BUNK BEDS! It had been a long drive from Samson, AL and it was great to take a really long shower. We were able to just stay in and make a quick dinner, eat at a table and read for a while in our bunks (hee, hee). If you're anywhere in the area and need a horsey motel, make this short drive off the highway, you will love their gorgeous property. Did I mention the huge patio? We had breakfast and our morning coffee overlooking their gorgeous property!". . . (12/23/20) - "We had picked up a new horse in Kentucky and stayed with Danny and Pam on our way back to FL. We got lost trying to get to their facility and Danny was extremely helpful in guiding us to them. Our horse loved his paddock with a run in and round bale. The apartment where we stayed in the barn was cute and comfortable. The next day when we had difficulty in getting Raven back in the trailer, Danny was instrumental in accomplishing the task and is a true horseman! We would definitely stay at their Ranch again.". . . (7/19/21) - "We just traveled from Florida to Michigan and back again using Horse Motels. This is the only review I’m doing because it was my favorite!!!! The horses loved it! We turned them out in a grass paddock/pasture right by the barn. It had a 3 sided run in that they would relax in. We plugged our RV in between the barn and the paddock. Can’t say enough about the hosts! Sooooo kind. Went out to eat with them. Had lots of laughs and look forward to keeping in contact with them!!!! ❤ 🤠 Clean facility! Just wonderful!!!"

Comments: (6/1/17) - "Great Facility. So nice we stayed an extra day and did a super trail ride with David and Myrna.". . . (3/27/19) - "Best stay I have had at one of these overnight stops. The owners were very accommodating to me arriving at night and helpful unloading at settling the horses after dark. They are extremely friendly and make you feel like you are just part of the family. They will look after your horses like their own. Very beautiful farm with great pastures and secure fences for horses to stretch their legs on a long trip. I would highly recommend this place to anyone passing through! :)". . . (1/15/20) - "We have used this motel as a layover on our way to Florida several times. David and Myrna are wonderful hosts. Beautiful property. Big paddock. Lots of privacy. On one trip we had trailer electrical problems when we arrived. David was incredibly helpful locating a local RV repair person late on a Friday afternoon. Amazing service! We highly recommend this horse motel. One of the best we have visited.". . . (1/21/20) - "Besides the fact that this place is a little jewel of the east coast that is soaked in history, it will also satisfy every particular horse owner that chooses to stay at this lovely farm, wether it is an overnight or a weekend. Lots of space for horses with different needs and the most hospitable hosts that keep this facility in pristine condition. Highly recommend.". . . (11/8/20) - "Beautiful historical farm, lots of room and friendly host! 5 stars!". . . (2/12/21) - "We have used horsemotels many times all over the country. This facility ranks at the top of our list for great people and quiet family atmosphere. David went out of his way to help us while we were traveling through inclement weather in Texas heading to NC, putting us way behind schedule. Beautiful location,we plan to stop here again. I highly recommend this location."

Comments: (5/23/15) - "This is a wonderful facility! It is great for travelers with just a few horses. Very secure, extremely clean and well kept. Very helpful and accommodating. They ordered a pizza for me upon arrival, by the time I had the horse settled in and the truck unpacked, the pizza was there. The apartment was 5 feet from the stall, so nightly check was super easy. Immaculate doesn't begin to describe the apartment! Beautiful accommodations, direct TV and a very comfy pull out KING size bed. They even helped load a horse with trouble loading in the morning. Could not ask for anything else, except more stalls when I come thru with more horses next time! Thank you so much, Pamela/Double B Equine Transport.". . . (10/14/15) - "I'm not sure if I can say enough good things about this place after our now, second stay here. The horse amenities are immaculate, your horse is literally right outside your bedroom window in either a nice stall or grass paddock. The apartment is more than ideal in a relaxing setting, and the owners are very accommodating. I give it a 5 star rating!". . . (12/22/15) - "It was wonderful; we arrived a bit late due to a flat and they were very accommodating. Having the apartment across from the stalls made it so easy to check on the horses throughout the night and the bed was extremely comfortable. I would stay there again in a heartbeat!"

It was a great place to stay for a traveler with horses.". . .(6/17/05) - "Very nice people, large clean stalls and easy to access.". . . (11/9/10) - "Nancy and her husband were so welcoming. I would use them again if I ever needed to. My horse was welcomed with bedded stall and fresh water. Thank you so very much for everything."(10/31/11) - "Nancy and hubby were very welcoming to us especially since we were not expected due to a scheduling hiccup. Box stalls were well maintained. Turn out is available. A bit of a drive back to lodgings and food (exit 16), however, well worth it.". . . (2/9/15) - "The owners were excellent hosts and met us at the end of the stable driveway with a flashlight! Very kind. I would use their service again.". . . (10/4/15) - "Just what we needed!!". . . (10/11/18) - "Nancy accommodated us with only 1 hour notice when we had to re-route due to Hurricane Florence. We were able to plug in and stay overnight next to the barn. Will definitely stay there again."
