Comments: (7/1/24) - "I stayed in my LQ trailer and brought 2 horses. The pasture was very spacious and full of grass. The barn is beautiful and the arena is perfect for riding. There was always a breeze. This was my first time hauling this trailer and I had a few questions and one issue. Both Jessica and Lee were very willing to help. I had a leak and they offered to let me stay in the house in addition to helping me fix the leak. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and the horses were happy. The views are beautiful. Can’t wait to come again.". . . (7/7/24) - "What a wonderful place to layover! Plentiful options for accommodating whatever your pony’s preferences may be. We stayed last week with one horse (and a dog) on our way to Oklahoma from Florida and we were all comfortable and content. We came back on our way home and had the same wonderful experience. We will always plan to stay here when coming thru the area!". . . (7/7/24) - "Absolutely beautiful! Jessica and Lee were so welcoming and friendly. Beautiful and clean horse facilities. We did not stay in the room as we had our LQ horse trailer but we did get a tour. It is stunning and overlooks the covered arena. Easy for our large rig (4 horse trailer with full living quarters) to navigate and park. Food, fuel, ice and grocery stores very close by. Highly recommend!!!!". . . (7/9/24) - "We needed a last minute layover and could not have stumbled on a better place! Highly recommend staying here.". . . (9/11/24) - "Jessica and Lee were responsive from making reservations to arrival. The paddock turnout was perfect for my needs and was more than an acre with good grazing. The water trough was scrubbed and full. Parking was easy for a big rig. Will return!". . . (9/26/24) - "Beautiful place and super nice people. Very peaceful for my horse and for me after a long, stressful drive. Thanks, Jesica and Lee, for the welcoming hospitality!"

(5/5/22) - "Bill and Kathy were great to work with for our overnight. Their farm is lovely, & they know horses. Perfect place to overnight for your horse. We will be back!". . . (5/10/22) - "Such a nice, clean, welcoming stop! Easy to access. Great facilities and friendly hosts. Thank you for a place to rest and relax.". . . (6/26/22 - "Absolutely best layover stop I’ve made in the last 20 years of hauling all over the country!". . . (10/14/22) - "I wish there were more categories that I could mark a truly Positive experience. This was our first time utilizing Horse Motels Int. and I must say it was a very terrific experience. The owners were right there when we arrived and even helped my hubby park our rig in the dark! Stalls were clean, and prepped with bedding when we got there, even though we were later than expected. Kathy & Bill were outside with some other arrivals and even had an outside fire going to fight the chill. I could not have had a more positive experience utilizing Horse Motels Int. for my first time. Truly impressed! Did not realize there were so many horse lovers out there. :) L Conner". . . (12/19/22) - "The barn was so very clean. The farm is beautiful and well maintained. Bill and Kathy were great hosts and took great care of my horse. They suggested nearby restaurants. I stayed at the nearby motel, Lakefront Motel, that they recommended. It is about 2 miles from the farm. The rooms there are extremely clean and I enjoyed having a nice view of the lake. It was as nice as most chain hotels. There was plenty of parking for my truck and trailer. The motel owners were very friendly as well; you can tell they take great pride in their motel.". . . (1/10/23) - "This stop was one of the best farms on our cross country trip! Starting with Kathy’s communication on booking, and payment. Upon arrival, Bill met us at the barn, helped park the trailer, and get the horses situated. The stalls were ready, with water, and fully bedded. The barn was big enough for my 17hh horses to have plenty of room to move around. To top it off, Bill gave suggestions on local restaurants, which were very good. I cannot recommend this stop enough!!". . . (4/5/23) - "I can't say enough good things about the people and the facilities! It is the only place I will stay with my horses, when I go to Florida!". . . (9/26/23) - "I can not say enough positive things about Bin Swindled Farm and the lovely owners. The property was easy to find, an easy drive in, big enough for a large rig, clean, is as pictured, and safe. There's a beautiful porch area with fire pit next to the barn that was lovely. To top it all off, the owners were just the most easy people to talk to and I really enjoyed getting to know them! We will definitely be back!". . . (9/29/23) - "Fabulous location and facilities. Huge stalls that were totally ready upon arrival. Very easy to access with large rig. Host met us on arrival despite our late arrival time. Great place and would definitely stay here again.". . . (12/27/23) - "Wonderful facility! Horses were warm and cozy all night. The host was super nice and very helpful in getting us set up. Close to good food and safe lodgings that were dog-friendly!. . . (1/18/24) - "Bill was absolutely wonderful and so accommodating. I can’t say enough wonderful things about him and our stay. Thank you so much!". . . (8/9/24) - "Absolutely wonderful stay with Kathy and Bill at their gorgeous farm. Big, clean stalls all set up and ready to go. Everything needed for a beautiful evening sitting out in the country with their barn porch also. Full hook up for LQ trailer and a great write up by their daughter with local restaurants and motels. Hope we cross paths again and thank you for the wonderful southern hospitality!! Best wishes, Kevin and Liz."

(1/1/23) - "Dani & Terry were top notch. They provided a safe place for the horses and us. We pulled in around 9pm and they were there to greet us and the horses. Dani had some food and cold beverages for us. We stayed up late just visiting. We had six dogs with us and they were welcomed into their home, too. In the morning, Dani had breakfast and coffee for us. They gave us a nice send off. Definitely recommend staying with them. I wish we could’ve stayed another day.". . . (1/2/23) - "The experience I had here was wonderful! I was met immediately by the very helpful and accommodating hosts. They helped unload my horses and had the stalls perfectly ready for them! It was very cozy and clean. Dani is also an experienced horseman that understood the care needed for my yearlings. The Inn was beautiful & clean with amazing hosts. They even offered me dinner & fixed my breakfast to go at a very early hour with good fresh coffee. I felt so taken care of and secure. Bags were carried to and from my truck. I’d go back here anytime I had the opportunity. Highly recommend.". . . (1/4/23) - "Dani and her brother Terry are awesome and I definitely would stay here again. Dani had amazing food and drinks ready and her breakfast was a lifesaver! We were driving from California to North Carolina with 6 horses, 6 dogs and all were welcome! The dogs were welcomed into their beautiful home and didn’t want to leave. I wished we had a longer time to stay. Will definitely visit again.". . . (3/20/23) - "What a convenient and comfortable place to stay. Just a mile off of the interstate, with a truck stop for diesel...but yet you feel like you are in the country. Terry was a wonderful host, with a sandwich for a weary traveler - if you can score some of his famous meatloaf you are lucky! The B&B room was lovely and comfortable, and the stall was large and well bedded for my horse's arrival. Great place to stop.". . . (3/21/23) - "(3/21/23) - "This is a beautiful facility. Dani and Terry had our stalls ready with fresh bedding, water and hay. We took the option to stay in the bed & breakfast, which is something that we have never done before, but felt very comfortable with upon arrival. After a long day and the need to get moving early the next morning, we retired early. Terry made a wonderful breakfast with coffee and orange juice to help us get our day started. We did not get the early start that we had anticipated because Dani and Terry were so friendly that we just wanted to stay and visit. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place!". . . (6/26/23) - "Amazing facility! They worked with us changing plans due to tornadoes and coming in at a very early hour, the place was so quiet but only a mile from a pilot truck stop which was great!!!! It had been raining but their driveway was sturdy and they had made sure it was ready for haulers. Will stop again. ☺️". . . (8/2/24) - "Fantastic place close to the interstate. We stayed here on our way home from NHSFR. We didn’t arrive until after dark. Terry, the host, was so kind meeting us at the main road with a flashlight to better assist us coming in. There was plenty of room to turn our rig around and hookup. The barn/stall was ready for us upon arrival. We had to leave early the next morning. As we were leaving we got a good look at the property. We wish we could have stayed longer. The property was amazingly beautiful and well kept. Definitely would come back! A visit during fall would be nice."

Comments: (9/2/20) - "Ros has a beautiful facility. The stalls were immaculate and roomy. She was very helpful and had easy parking for our trailer. She also had a guest room available. We had an unexpected need for stabling and she was very helpful. I would gladly stable my horse there again. It was easy to find and close to the I-10.". . . (9/26/20) - "Could not say enough good things about our stay at Salter Farms! Rosalyn was more than gracious and accommodating after we had to move our stay to a day later. Then we had a trailer tire blow out along the way that had us getting in close to midnight instead of 7pm. The room was clean and very comfortable. Didn’t have any horses with us this trip, but would be very happy if I did. Pastures were ample and clean and stalls were nice and secure. Will definitely be staying again in the future!". . . (12/11/20) - "Wonderful layover in Mobile on the way to Texas. Large stalls, secure barn, owner opened a secondary gate for us to get in easily with a larger rig. They were out there to flag us down, which was a relief to me as it was close to dark and I try really hard to get settled in before the sun goes down. Perky enjoyed his large stall, we stayed in the apartment they have which was just as good as any comfort inn out there. Overall a wonderful stop; would highly recommend and stay again. Thank you!". . . (2/2/21) - "Wonderful experience Roz and her daughter were very nice and accommodating. Large pastures and large stalls Would definitely return.". . . (11/24/21) - "Arrived early and waited for Carly to get there but was my own fault arriving earlier then I had indicated. Carly showed me stalls, paddock and room for me and organized Uber eats for me. Above and beyond the call. Paddock was great and stalls with 2 buckets of water clean and ready.". . . (9/22/22) - "This is the 2nd time I have stayed at this facility and both times were amazing. The stalls are huge and after traveling for a couple of days, my horse was so excited, he laid down. Our stay had an extra night added due to trailer issues. It was nice having a safe and welcoming place for us and our horses.". . . (3/7/23) - "Wonderful stay. Rosalyn had a huge stall with run available - my horse loved it - and the guestroom was delightful. A new favorite stop for me.". . . (3/21/24) - "Rosalyn was a wonderful host - very accommodating, and a horse lover/rider herself. She has plenty of space for our horse - big pastures and land for trailers. The onsite guest rooms added the convenience and comfort touch to be close to your horse. We will definitely be back!". . . (4/22/24) - "We had a lovely overnight day at spyglass Farm. Roslyn was a beautiful host, welcoming us at our arrival. The human accommodations are exceptionally nice; super clean with every amenity you would like. The horses can be kept in beautiful paddocks or clean, immaculate, safe stalls. We will definitely be back. 5 stars around. So peaceful and her own horses are in heaven."

(10/18/13) - "This was my first stay with Robert but it will not be my last. I put my horses into his covered arena (huge!!!) where they ran and rolled most of the evening. It is lighted so I could see the horses all night long. He has a number (a lot) of hook ups available in several different areas. I was very pleased with his facility and if I go east on I-20 again I will be staying with him a second time. ". . . (1/14/18 - "Robert was extremely helpful and welcoming. He was a marvelous host and took care of all our needs. His overnight accommodations for humans were exceptional and for horses great as well. We will definitely be staying there again. Thank you, Robert!". . . (6/30/18) - "We got stuck in major traffic jams on I-75 and then had to change a flat on the trailer, causing us to be late arrivals. Robert is a hard working horseman and farmer who puts in long hours, but he met us at the road and escorted us to the barn, waited while we fed our horses, and then escorted us to our room. Clean water was already out and the horses had the run of the arena to themselves to roll, walk it off, or lie down and sleep. The room was clean and we appreciated the cold a/c on this hot summer day. Mr. Burns was cheerful, friendly and humorous, and we really enjoyed the hospitality. We will definitely want to stay with him again on our next cross country trip.". . . (11/14/19) - "Robert waited up late to make sure we arrived safe and sound.". . . (9/7/21) - "Robert is an absolute gem, he is always so welcoming to us and we use him about 3/6 times per month. Regardless of the time, he is out helping making sure stalls are ready, lights are on, and that we get settled . Highly recommend for anyone coming through.". . . (8/19/23) - "I highly recommend this place. The Host is awesome! I discovered 2 LQ trailer tires that separated tread with steel belts exposed. Robert contacted a commercial tire place, confirmed they had the tires, confirmed price, and let them know I was on my way. The folks at Southern Tire Mart are awesome. I am blessed to have help from both. Robert called me to make sure I was being taken care of and called again to ensure I made it home safely.". . . (7/15/24) - "Host was ready and waiting. We had the whole covered arena made available for a nice overnight. Room accommodations made for a very quiet and peaceful sleep. Thank you!". . . (8/25/24) - "The Burns have a great facility. We were a little concerned at first as they are outdoor stalls attached to the arena. We have racehorses that are used to indoor stalls. But they were large enough and clean so we decided to try it. He had 3 stalls ready for us all separated as 2 are studs and a filly. I was surprised; usually they are hyper and pacing in a new stall for a bit. But all 3 just seemed happy and comfortable from the minute they went in the stall. We stayed across the street in their basement accommodations that were nice, clean and perfect for us to get a few hours sleep. There is a Mexican Restaurant and Bar just about 5 min down the road that was great also. We will definitely keep their name and number for next time we happen to travel that route."

(8/29/11) - "Susan was actually out of town but she allowed us to stay at her nice ranch anyhow. The place is a bit further off the Interstate then what we usually like, but well worth the drive. Beautiful area, very well groomed, very nice, clean room/pool, home. Easy to find with help of GPS. We highly recommend the Bimini Bob restaurant in Daphne, just off the Interstate exit and do not miss to visit the Battleship Museum and Park.". . . (8/15/12) - "Made reservations two weeks in advance. Everything was ready for us upon our arrival. Not fancy, but it felt like I had come home to my family's farm complete with a southern great lady in the driveway to make sure we had everything we needed and more. Our stay was perfect. I will be staying at Silverhill again.". . . (10/18/13) - "This is my 3rd stay with Susan and as usual she is the best hostess. Her facilities are exceptional; clean and very accessible. Parking both coming and going is very easy. Hook ups are close by for trailers with living quarters plus she has cabins that are available for reservations. I was, and continue to be, very pleased with her Horse Hotel and will continue to stay there on my trips into the southeast.". . . (6/29/14) - "Appreciated last minute availability as well as late arrival. Thank you very much.". . . (7/22/15) - "The ranch was inviting and so accessible. We arrived hot and tired and immediately felt like we were at home. We hosed the horses down and they went out to a nice shady pasture to relax. We were able to jump in the shower and fall right into a nap in the beautiful pool house. Afterward we went to town and had a great lunch at a quaint little sandwich shop on Main Street. Came back, fed horses, cleaned out trailer, prepared for the next day and then jumped in an in-ground pool before retiring for the night. It was so nice to have a rest stop so comfy. Horses and drivers rested and continued on their journey. Thank you, Susanne.". . . (10/6/15) - "I love this place!". . . (4/26/16) - "This was the most awesome facility for horses and horse owners!! The cottage was more than expected with a pool. My mare had a stall and a large pasture for her to walk and investigate. The stall was very large and roomy. Would advise anybody traveling with or without your horse to stay here. Top-notch hospitality. Thank the Lord for people who have these hotels for us. Superb!!!". . . (5/17/17) - "What a lovely spot in the world. Beautiful accommodations for our horse with a nice sized stall and beautiful, large pasture. And the kids loved having a pool just outside our "room.". . . (8/15/17) - "Having gone from FL to Wyoming and back with my horse I can honestly say that Rockin' A was by far my horse and I's favorite. Not only was the property a horse owner's dream but the town of Fairhope, a short drive to the bay front, was a culinary delight!". . . (11/15/17) - "I needed an equine layover on my way home to Texas coming from the Parelli horse campus in Florida. Susanne was very friendly and accommodating. Her farm is so beautiful and the pool house was very clean and comfortable. I hope to get back through there someday soon!". . . (3/29/18) - "This was a 1st time for us. What a great place to stay. Very accommodating to me and my son. If we were to travel again I would come here. I highly recommend this place.". . . (5/5/18) - "Beautiful place! A little away from the highway, but worth it. Didn't get to meet the lady who owned it, however, spoke to her several times via phone. Nice stall set up. Very peaceful...except maybe the pot belly pig (don't think my horse had ever seen one before!) But she settled down and my husband and I had a good laugh about it. They had a huge pasture that we turned my horse loose in and she LOVED it. Very peaceful and if we weren't on a time schedule we would have stayed another day.". . . (4/28/20) - "I really want to keep this place to myself but will share to this wonderful community. Beautiful, clean, private, quiet, and comfortable. My horse was happy and I stayed in the offered poolhouse which made me happy. Absolutely 5 stars.". . . (5/11/22) - "Beautiful pastures, safe fencing, shelters, peaceful setting, and excellent hosts! Wonderful horse motel in lower Alabama. I did not want to leave."

Comments: (8/5/15) - "Darwin and Elizabeth were so inviting and helpful in every way. The human facilities were like something out of home and garden!! I can't recommend the Caddo place enough. You can't go wrong with these folks. Beautiful facilities and people.". . . (1/26/16) - "Darwin Clark, the owner, went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. We left our truck with him on our way to Florida and on the way back he met us with our truck to switch our horse trailer from our RV to the truck since my husband was taking the horses back to TN and I was heading to west AL with the RV. He was very helpful and saved us a bunch of time. Our stalls were ready for the horses when we arrived at 11:30 pm on a Sunday night. They had bedding and fresh water. Since we both had to be up super early to head out Darwin made the "turn and burn" transition seamless for us. We would stay there again without hesitation and highly recommend Caddo.". . . (6/9/19) - "I absolutely loved the uniqueness of this facility. The owners were wonderful people; kind and there to help when we got there very late. The room was wonderfully decorated, and the bed was comfortable! I honestly could write a book about how awesome this facility was. My horses were comfortable and so were we.". . . (8/4/20) - "This horse ranch/farm was a great first stop on a 60 day road trip! Our site was next to stables with access to a fantastic full size bathroom (try taking a bath in the horse trough tub/shower). Darwin let us use the grill and gave us access to a coffee bar. We had plenty of privacy while being in the middle of all the action. We couldn’t have asked for more. Thanks, Darwin, for the great stay and we hope to see you if we head back that way.". . . (12/4/22) - "Darwin and his wife were wonderful hosts! I was in a bit of an emergency situation and they dropped everything early in the morning to help me out and get my horses a good place to stay. They even let me sleep in their camper so I could get some much needed rest. Nice stalls with easy access to water, and they took care of the horses for me while I rested. Highly recommend Caddo Equestrian and I will return again. Thank you Darwin! Leona Cox". . . (3/3/24) - "Great place and Laura and Dwight were very friendly and helpful. They were waiting for us and helped us get settled. Imaculate stalls and fresh water waiting. Would definitely recommend them again."
