Nearest town very small, limited services but very reasonable ($22 motel) Warm and friendly reception from owner, Claudia. Lighting good for early 4 am departure and fine with owner but woke up every dog for miles. We stayed two nights and the morning we left the owners offered to let our horses run in the pasture for some exercise. They were wonderful and the grounds were clean and beautiful. We were greeted by the ranch manager who showed us where to corral our horses. Everything was clean and well kept. He even stabled our two large dogs for the night. When he checked on the dogs late in the evening he felt they may be too cold in the stable and took them indoors. You couldn't ask for better care. The following day we had a flat tire and ended up spending the day while waiting for the tire to get fixed. The ranch manager made us most welcome and at ease. We had a human injury and horses who had performed extremely well and were tired. So, we called Blake's Ranch. They guided us in, helped us get ourselves and horses set up, and made the situation very pleasant, even late at night. This service was priceless! We had a great night's sleep and the horses had fresh bedding and crystal clear water to drink. We were offered help until we were ready for bed. We would highly recommend Blake's Ranch for the quality of professional service, and careful attention to the needs of performance horses such as ours.". . .(2/22/07) - "Close to the freeway but that can be a good thing. Clean, friendly, and overall a great overnight stay.". . .(3/31/07) - "These guys went out of their way to ensure my horses had clean stalls. Both times through I showed up close to 10pm and the owner met me at the entrance without a worry. Definitely will stay here again if I roll through there.". . . (8/27/07) - ". . . This facility was exceptionally clean, quiet, and safe for both horses and humans. I called the ranch to reserve space about 20 minutes before we arrived. The horse stall was ready with fresh shavings and a full clean barrel of water. They let me hose off the horse (we had been traveling for over 10 hours in the Nevada desert), and let her roll and play in their round pen. My horse is a good traveler, but can be a little picky about the water. She really liked their well water and I didn't have to add any type of flavorings to get her to drink. The park was well thought out in the design - the spots for my giant living quarters trailer were all pull-thrus. We could see the horse stall from our trailer. The space had a tree and a picnic table. The shower rooms were very large and very clean. The park is up a small hill from a really big truck stop and I-40, but was quiet. We slept with the windows open and did not hear any traffic noise. It was also cooler than we expected. Blake Ranch is so much better than staying at the county fairgrounds!!!". . .(9/9/07) - "A first class operation. Friendly, competent staff that responded to my requests for reservations in a timely manner. The corral was pre-prepared for my arrival, clean with fresh shavings. The corrals are new, secure and most important in Arizona, well shaded and with a cool roof. A clean round pen available for exercise. The RV sites are nearby, clean and level, graveled with no dust. That in and of itself is an accomplishment in Arizona. The best bathrooms and showers ever seen in a horse motel/RV site. Despite the extremely cold weather, we were met with very warm greetings - even though we arrived much later than planned and everyone was extremely courteous and helpful. After I realized I had forgotten the convertor plug for the RV site and the office was closed, I took a chance and knocked on the office door. Thankfully, the office staff opened up and sold me the plug I needed (which was much cheaper than I expected) and even came by a few minutes later to check. When our trailer heater unexpectedly quit (no good time for that in any winter), we were offered a temporary heater to last us through the night. If you folks were any kinder, you'd be family! Thank you so much for a wonderful visit.". . . (3/5/09) - "We would like to thank Max for getting out of his warm bed to get us situated at the wee hours of the morning! We had an unfortunate accident on the highway on our way out of California. Max was there to greet us and get us safely tucked away for the night! What a wonderful place for horses, dogs and humans!"
