Comments: One of the best and reasonably priced on the road! Plenty of room for trucks & Rigs!". . . (4/6/10) - "I booked Walt here on a recommendation. This facility is easy access, ALWAYS clean, neat as a pin and safe. This time we had a bonus! As horse haulers, we have to contact our clients daily. Sunday we got to tell them we took their "kids" to Easter Services at Cowboy Church. They got a HUGE kick out of that. This is not just a horse hotel, it is friends & family type friendly and helpful.Walt even ran into old friends there from the '80's! It is just THAT kind of place, and we're grateful for it. Proud to recommend it to haulers OR travelers alike.". . . (12/11/10) - "We have sent 50 horses east to Florida and this has been a fabulous find for us. A good 600 miles + from Santa Barbara and a very good place to stop overnight on our trips to FL. Lots of very clean stalls on both trips . Easy on and off Hwy. 10. Mr & Mrs Robertson will take care of you and your valuable animals.. Steve C."

Comments: (2/8/12) - "I loved staying at the Full Circle Ranch Bed and Breakfast/Horse Motel in Cave Creek, Arizona. Sherrie made my stay there with my horse more amazing than what I ever dreamed or expected--her awesome breakfasts every morning were absolutely beautiful and tasty, and something we all looked forward to every day--she is such a talented baker! Also, it was beautiful to sit at her table and look out at the beautiful pool and spa, and the peaceful surroundings. The horse stalls are huge and immaculate, as well as being very comfortable--my horse was very happy too! The trails are amazing--I stayed there for a week and found a new and exciting trail to go on every day, either along the Maricopa Trail, the Cave Creek Regional Park, or the Spur Cross Mountain Area Preserve. Everything was absolutely wonderful! I found great tranquility, peace, and much happiness staying at the Full Circle Ranch with my horse. Also, it is immaculate, warm, and inviting. I have to ment ion that the aroma of fresh-baked goodies every afternoon to come back to after trail riding was wonderful. Thank you, Sherrie, for making my horse vacation more than I ever expected it to be. I will definitely be back next year and many years to come!"

(1/2/07) - "Very lovely facility. We came in late at night. Host was gracious in the morning. Tara.". . .(2/14/07) - "We've stayed here often and would definitely recommend MCS Stables to anyone who is just passing by and needs a layover or an extended stay. Stables are very clean, stalls are oversized. Horses are fed early and since we are haulers this works out very nicely for us. Owners are friendly and always very helpful with directions or any other questions.". . .(4/29/07) - "Brian and Wilma have a beautiful facility. Neat & clean. We layed over on our way to Charmayne James' Clinic in Texas and they were ready for us when we arrived. Easy access to highways, fuel, & dining. Great mountain scenery! We look forward to staying there again.". . .(5/18/07) - "Beautiful and quiet facility so that my horse could relax. Very nice, friendly folks.". . .(9/15/07) - "We were late in arriving and it was raining. The owners were there to meet us and make sure we were all set. It was great! Very clean and nice place!". . .(9/28/07) - "Stayed here two years in a row enroute to Pinto world and have had great experience. Thanks. See you next year.". . .(2/10/10) - "I travel by myself and stay in my LQ trailer. I was totally safe and my horse was well cared for. Great place and great hospitality.". . .(6/13/08) - "Dave was great and the horse motel was perfect-- shelter and lots of space for the horses to self exercise. Went for a short ride which was very pleasant. We were able to park near the horses. Very clean and nice facility.". . .(8/27/08) - "What a beautiful place. We were greeted by the ranch manager who showed us where to corral our horses. Everything was clean and well kept. He even stabled our two large dogs for the night. When he checked on the dogs late in the evening he felt they may be too cold in the stable and took them indoors. You couldn't ask for better care. The following day we had a flat tire and ended up spending the day while waiting for the tire to get fixed. The ranch manager made us most welcome and at ease. If you are ever in this area it is a great place to stay. Thank you MCS.". . .(9/8/08) - "The facility is great and David made us feel like old friends. The horses loved it and didn't want to get back on the trailer. Can't say that I blame them! We hope to use this facility again for weekend trips to Flagstaff to escape the valley heat. Highly recommend this facility!". . . (12/23/08) - "Beautiful place, great and easy manager to work with. Couldn't have asked for anything more. Took us in with just a couple hours notice, trusted us to leave the fee when no one was around when we pulled out. All around, a perfect horse motel. Would definitely stay there again. THANKS DAVE!! You made a long trip for us very easy through Arizona. -Sheri and Brad.". . . (8/1/09) - "Super accommodating! Very professional. Easy access! Will recommend to fellow traveling barrel racers.". . . (12/6/09) - "Host was great. Made sure my horses were comfortable. Helped load an reluctant loader the next day, checked on my horses at night for me. Felt really good leaving the horses overnight. Hotels and restaurants are very close. Easy to find as well.". . . (6/2/10) - "My daughter and five horses stayed here last night. After unexpected delays, she arrived around 11:00 pm. Jeff was there to meet her upon her arrival and departure the next morning. The facilities and the treatment she received were great. I want to express my appreciation for making her stay a pleasant one. Dick Beck, owner of www.horsemotel.com". . . (10/2/10) - "Only made an hour layover, unfortunately, because it was beautiful. The owners were friendly and our horse, dogs and us humans enjoyed the leg stretch.". . . (5/17/11) - "{The owners} were extremely helpful and attentive to our needs. Went above expectations to make us comfortable.". . . (6/20/11) - "Bonnie and Rod were great hosts; couldn't been any better. Thanks again. Well Fargo Stagecoach outrider.". . . (7/6/11) - "We were greeted with a smile and after a check of our traveling papers we were almost family. A pleaseure to put our horse up for the night. We had been traveling for two days in summer heat and our horse was not drinking. Bonnie immediately filled his trough with fresh water. He did drink a little after a few minutes. Previously she had raked down (looked more like swept) the outdoor pen and wiped down the rails with chlorox. In the morning (6 AM) she was on duty and checking livestock. After a farewell and safe travel bon voyage from Bonnie we were on our way. I highly recommend this facility to anyone. Come for the night or stay for the week. There are 1000's of acres of forest land to ride. Saddle up and enjoy.". . . (7/31/11) - "Stayed at facility twice in June/July. Hosts are very helpful and friendly. Beautiful facility. Wild elk herd grazing in nearby pasture each evening. Will make a point to return on vacation.". . . (9/26/11) - "We deeply appreciated the quality of our experience at MCS Stables. The equine accommodations were clean and safe (not to mention beautiful), and the hosts were both warm and welcoming and immensely professional. We felt completely safe and happy to leave our equines in the care of MCS's managers. We also enjoyed the convenience of MCS's location - very close to the motels and restaurants of Flagstaff. All in all, an outstanding horse-motel experience.". . . (11/11/11) - "Oh yes! I will stay here again and again and AGAIN! Hope to make it back out to Flagstaff summer 2012 and would like to stay a month. LOVELY place. Well maintained. Arenas very nicely groomed. 200 herd of Elk in the back field. Wow! Trails all over for mountain biking, running or trail riding your horse (I did all 3). YUMMY HAY PROVIDED IN BOARD! This place is so fantastic folks from Phoenix board their horses up here in the dead heat of summer. I can't sing the praises of place enough. Can wait to see you guys again! Was here Aug 2011 and can't wait to come back!". . . (1/10/12) - "The staff was very helpful and friendly. Also, they were extremely accommodating to my party's late arrival. I would definitely stay there again!"

Comments: (2/27/06) - "Deb and Ben and all their friends welcomed us and our horses like long lost friends. We had such a good time there from the riding in the desert to the singers around the fire. They greeted us when we got there very late and said goodbye when we left very early. I was a little worried because there was not much for entertainment but we never missed it. We had such a good time riding and visiting with everybody that shopping was way down on our list of fun things to do. Don't miss this place if you love to ride.". . .(4/30/06) - "Very nice facility, lots of room for horses to exercise after a very long ride. Owners, very friendly and accommodating. Nice 5th wheel to sleep in. Close to town, great Greek resturant!". . . (4/25/11) - "Fabulous place to RV and board our horses. We are happy to be going back for our 3rd time next winter. Ben and Deb are awesome hosts!"

(9/19/06) - "Thank you from Pat & Linda {Parelli} for your hospitality in welcoming our 2006 Tour Team! Your facilities were beautiful and accommodating with much ease of use! Our horses were able to enjoy a relaxed environment and were refreshed and ready for another day! The Tour Team also enjoyed a bit of R&R after a day of travels! We had a lovely barbeque and a good sleep! Thank you for all your efforts in giving our Team the comforts of home! In gratitude we would like to offer you one of Pat's books, signed by Pat & Linda and the whole team!! Many Thanks, The 2006 Parelli Tour Team "For Horse Lovers ONLY". . . (8/27/07) - ". . . This facility was exceptionally clean, quiet, and safe for both horses and humans. I called the ranch to reserve space about 20 minutes before we arrived. The horse stall was ready with fresh shavings and a full clean barrel of water. They let me hose off the horse (we had been traveling for over 10 hours in the Nevada desert), and let her roll and play in their round pen. My horse is a good traveler, but can be a little picky about the water. She really liked their well water and I didn't have to add any type of flavorings to get her to drink. The park was well thought out in the design - the spots for my giant living quarters trailer were all pull-thrus. We could see the horse stall from our trailer. The space had a tree and a picnic table. The shower rooms were very large and very clean. The park is up a small hill from a really big truck stop and I-40, but was quiet. We slept with the windows open and did not hear any traffic noise. It was also cooler than we expected. Blake Ranch is so much better than staying at the county fairgrounds!!!". . .(9/9/07) - "A first class operation. Friendly, competent staff that responded to my requests for reservations in a timely manner. The corral was pre-prepared for my arrival, clean with fresh shavings. The corrals are new, secure and most important in Arizona, well shaded and with a cool roof. A clean round pen available for exercise. The RV sites are nearby, clean and level, graveled with no dust. That in and of itself is an accomplishment in Arizona. The best bathrooms and showers ever seen in a horse motel/RV site. All in all, a very postitive experience."(9/28/07) - "Nice place to lay over close to CA boarder.". . .(10/11/07) - "Easy to find. Very nice place to stay. Very friendly folks to greet you and make you feel welcomed!". . .(2/25/08) - "The horses were comfortable in safe outdoor pens with a roof to protect them from the weather. I would advise you to have blankets with you because nights can be cold. The RV accommodations were very nice with wonderful clean, hot showers.". . .(10/14/08) - "The service was perfect! Lots of help when we arrived and the stalls were nice, a big round pen for turning out the horses too! Will Stop here again!". . . (1/13/09) - "Service and courtesy the way it used to - and should - be! Despite the extremely cold weather, we were met with very warm greetings - even though we arrived much later than planned and everyone was extremely courteous and helpful. After I realized I had forgotten the convertor plug for the RV site and the office was closed, I took a chance and knocked on the office door. Thankfully, the office staff opened up and sold me the plug I needed (which was much cheaper than I expected) and even came by a few minutes later to check. When our trailer heater unexpectedly quit (no good time for that in any winter), we were offered a temporary heater to last us through the night. If you folks were any kinder, you'd be family! Thank you so much for a wonderful visit.". . . (3/5/09) - "We would like to thank Max for getting out of his warm bed to get us situated at the wee hours of the morning! We had an unfortunate accident on the highway on our way out of California. Max was there to greet us and get us safely tucked away for the night! What a wonderful place for horses, dogs and humans!". . . (1/18/11) - "Everyone was very kind and helpful. Certainly recommend Blake Ranch for short term stop-over ... enjoyed horse riding from site.". . . (8/24/11) - "(A special thanks to Rick and Peggy from the administrator of horsemotel.com) - I recently had a fuel pump fail on my pickup truck in the vicinity of the Blake Ranch RV Park & Horse Motel. Knowing Rick and Peggy's facility was nearby, and having promised to stop by and visit them during one of my frequent trips past their place, I limped my way to their horse motel. I not only had the opportunity to finally meet Rick and Peggy but I was able to repair my truck. Rick and Peggy are super people and they have a great place that is very convenient to I-40. It's clean and well laid out. It's a bit far from Kingman but they have a nice convenience store with a wide variety of food and beverages. I didn't have horses but Rick gave me a tour of his facility and the stalls are strong and well maintained and he offers a cabin and/or full RV hookups. The best part of my visit was how much fun it was to meet them both and how accommodating they were to me. Thanks for all your help, Rick and Peggy - the microwaved, pre-made Philly Cheese Steak sandwich was great. Dick Beck"

Comments: (11/11/11) - " What a great Place! Susan and Brian are such nice people and full of good information. We had a great time with them. Arizona is great in the winter and Susan and Brian have great riding areas right from their ranch. They made us feel so welcome and their ranch is first class!". . . (1/17/12) - "Wow! Where can I start with a facility as good as this?! This couple was very welcoming, returned phone calls promptly, showed me trails by riding with me, were wonderful about my having a dog with me, did extra in caring for my horses and me, treated me like they appreciated my visit... I could go on and on. I look forward to staying again in the future, this time for an extended period of time. I loved staying here!". . . (2/8/12) - "Lost Cowboy Ranch was AWESOME! Brian and Susan Bowers are the REAL DEAL! They thought of and did way, way, more than I ever expected! I have to mention that on the morning of my checkout, they both volunteered to get up at 5:30 a.m. to check and fill all 10 of my tires to make sure they were fit for the road (which they were NOT as they had all lost some air on the trip down from Oregon). I knew I was going to be safe getting home, and I even saved about $100 on gas getting home, which was a huge savings! Susan even made coffee for me that morning and for my thermos, to help me get on my way in style. I didn't want to leave! The facility is immaculate, and my horse and I were extremely happy there. The scenery is beautiful, the trail riding in the Tonto National Foreset is amazing (they even took me on trail rides down to the Verde River and out to the McDowell Mountains, and enjoyed doing it!). On my arrival date, Susan took me out on her "Ranger" to show me many various trails and "stepovers" that I could venture out on. I have already reserved my spot for next year, and plan on going there every single year. Also, I just have to say that Susan and Brian are two of the most caring, helpful, accommodating, professional, and good-hearted people that I have ever met. They love what they do, and it shows! I feel like I am a part of their family, and made forever friends! Whatever you do, do NOT miss going to the Lost Cowboy Ranch, a little piece of heaven on earth."

Comments: (9/22/09) - "What an incredible find! I can't believe this is 20 minutes from Scottsdale - the views are spectacular, the riding is breathtaking and there's more trails than we could ride in a month in both the National Forest and Granite Mountain Preserve, right outside the back gate. The owners were friendly, accommodating, knew a lot about the area and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. The ranch itself is huge, very well done (the barn is nicer than most houses!)and the location is phenomenal. We would definitely be back!". . . (1/18/10) - "A superlative experience - Carmela and Joe run a top notch place, are caring and helpful hosts. I used Rancho Rio Verde twice in one trip, and was impressed both times. Beautiful place, excellent access to trails. Highly recommended.". . . (4/4/10) - "Fantastic horse motel. Your horse (s) will be treated wonderfully. The owners of the stable, Carmela and Joe, showed us many trails to go on. They were so welcoming and helpful. The property/stable is next to the national forest, so no need to trailer your horse (s). We could not have asked for more... and the price was right! A must if you need to stable your horse(s) in Scottsdale.". . . (2/1/11) - "We stayed over New Years 2011 in the Bunkhouse and with horses. I can highly recommend Rio Rancho Verde! Carmela and Joe are fabulous, friendly hosts. Additionally, both horse and human accommodations were comfortable, clean and just right! Hundreds of scenic trails for all level of riders literally out the back gate. Plenty of trailer/rig parking. Can't wait to return.". . . (3/18/11) - "Carmela and Joe are the best hosts ever. I felt welcome, very comfortable and safe from the minute I got there. They gave me very good directions for getting there and for the trails. All their suggestions for restaurants and other things to do were great, too. Beautiful place, great accommodations for the horses and the best desert riding you'll find anywhere. I was there for 4 weeks and the time just flew by and I didn't want to leave. Carmela and Joe were also very welcoming to my daughter and her friend when they came for a surprise visit and stayed in the bunkhouse. Thank you Carmela and Joe! I will be back.". . . (3/21/11) - "This place is an absolute horse lovers dream! The trails are incredible, right out of the campgroud. We rode a different trail every day for a week and hated to leave since there were so many more we didn't get to. Sunsets and sunrises are postcard perfect. It is quiet and removed from city life and surrounded by beautiful desert. The owners are the nicest people and couldn't have been more accommodating. We thoroughly enjoyed their company. Just a great place . . . we'll be back!". . . (3/31/11) - "The views are spectular 360 degrees. The riding is perfect for all kinds of riders and horses as you are open to all options on how challenging or easy you want to make it. The ranch is immaculate; Joe and Carm are friendly, with helpfull info on all you can do. You can leave for a day of shopping in Scottsdale and rest assured you horses will be comfortable and safe!". . . (4/25/11) - "Joe and Carmella are wonderful hosts. The riding right off the property is terrific. They have an incredible facility. Superclean, with awesome views. Have been there twice, would definitely go again!". . . (1/17/12) - "Absolutely beautiful facility with nice stalls and comfortable area for RVs. Hosts were very helpful and informative. Picture perfect location."

Comments: (2/6/10) - "Very nice people. No surprises, very helpful. Nice facility. Will be coming back.". . . (6/7/10)- "Tim and Cathy were more than helpful. Traveling across the country with horses sometimes has some unplanned trips. We called the Two Bit Ranch on a holiday weekend and they were able to take us in without any troubles. They are up the road from Scottsdale, but have a bunkhouse that is very comfortable on site. Their location is beautiful and we wished we had longer time to stay and enjoy the Ranch. Very accommodating for our dogs. Our trip was a military PCS from MS to NV with two vehicles, a large goose-neck trailer, 5 horses, 2 dogs and a cat and they were more then generous. Thank You!"

Comments: (3/15/11) - "Fabulous place for horses to stay in Sedona. We were in close proximity to Forest Service lands and it was an easy ride to get to trails around Bell Rock and many other Sedona landmarks. Definitely a one of a kind stay! Many lodging facilities very close by. Facility had a nice ring and very friendly staff and other boarders."

Big, clean pens for the horses, a nice arena or miles of desert for riding.". . .(5/21/02) - "We had a wonderful stay. Nice facilities, easy access from I-10, and easy to find. Be prepared to spend some time with Stewart and Betsy. They are as friendly and as nice as can be. Great hosts. Small motel nearby and a nice local cafe with good food and great pie.". . .(12/21/02) - "Stewart was great, even though we called him Steve! Treated us like friends. Stewart is retired & involved heavily in roping, with a lot of other retired folks nearby. Wish we could have stayed for a demo. Hope to stop there again.". . .
