Comments: (11/10/15) - "Wonderful people, beautiful ranch, very accommodating. We came in at night and they were very friendly and helpful in making our arrival and stay pleasant.". . . (1/24/16) - "We took 8 days to travel from NC to WA and of the many horse hotels where we stayed, Shifty Jack Ranch was our favorite. Our hosts were so welcoming and the facility was perfect. Super clean and a very large paddock for our horses to move around WITH SHELTER FOR THEM IF NEEDED. This stopover is highly recommended; it was a WONDERFUL OVERNIGHT for us especially since many of our other stops were so very disappointing. You will not regret your stay with these friendly and accommodating folks -- as a matter of fact, we wanted to move in next door and stay friends!"

Comments: One of the best and reasonably priced on the road! Plenty of room for trucks & Rigs!". . . (4/6/10) - "I booked Walt here on a recommendation. This facility is easy access, ALWAYS clean, neat as a pin and safe. This time we had a bonus! As horse haulers, we have to contact our clients daily. Sunday we got to tell them we took their "kids" to Easter Services at Cowboy Church. They got a HUGE kick out of that. This is not just a horse hotel, it is friends & family type friendly and helpful.Walt even ran into old friends there from the '80's! It is just THAT kind of place, and we're grateful for it. Proud to recommend it to haulers OR travelers alike.". . . (12/11/10) - "We have sent 50 horses east to Florida and this has been a fabulous find for us. A good 600 miles + from Santa Barbara and a very good place to stop overnight on our trips to FL. Lots of very clean stalls on both trips . Easy on and off Hwy. 10. Mr & Mrs Robertson will take care of you and your valuable animals.. Steve C.". . . (5/19/14) - "Mr. Robertson was a fantastic host! He provided us with a late entry, right off the interstate, well lit facilities, great big stalls, clean water, shavings/manure pile for us to clean our trailer, restrooms, hay, and good old fashioned friendly help from a fellow horseman. We definitely recommend and will use every time we're through the area!!!". . . (4/1/16) - "We had an awesome overnight stay. This place is everything a horse hotel should be - easy access from interstate, signs to facilitate finding facility, gigantic turnaround space, lots of lights, clean pens, and hotels and restaurant less then a mile away. One of our easiest nights on a cross-country move. Can't say enough good things!"

Comments: (2/8/12) - "I loved staying at the Full Circle Ranch Bed and Breakfast/Horse Motel in Cave Creek, Arizona. Sherrie made my stay there with my horse more amazing than what I ever dreamed or expected--her awesome breakfasts every morning were absolutely beautiful and tasty, and something we all looked forward to every day--she is such a talented baker! Also, it was beautiful to sit at her table and look out at the beautiful pool and spa, and the peaceful surroundings. The horse stalls are huge and immaculate, as well as being very comfortable--my horse was very happy too! The trails are amazing--I stayed there for a week and found a new and exciting trail to go on every day, either along the Maricopa Trail, the Cave Creek Regional Park, or the Spur Cross Mountain Area Preserve. Everything was absolutely wonderful! I found great tranquility, peace, and much happiness staying at the Full Circle Ranch with my horse. Also, it is immaculate, warm, and inviting. I have to ment ion that the aroma of fresh-baked goodies every afternoon to come back to after trail riding was wonderful. Thank you, Sherrie, for making my horse vacation more than I ever expected it to be. I will definitely be back next year and many years to come!"

(12/16/12) - "We stayed here at Crockett Ranch on our way to OKC and again on the way back with our two horses and LQ trailer. Cathy was very nice, made sure we had everything we needed. Electric for our LQ was easy access. Plenty of parking and large area to turn around. Super quiet for us and the horses!". . . (9/3/13) - "Cathy was a great hostess, leading our rig to large clean pens & directing us to a parking space. We'll definitely stop in again when we come back to AZ! Wish we hadn't been a little too late to catch rodeo action ;-)!". . . (3/19/15) - "Wonderful hospitality, terrific accommodations, great communication while I was on the road - took me in last minute and provided a great stop for my horse. Thank you so much!"

(12/23/08) - "Beautiful place, great and easy manager to work with. Couldn't have asked for anything more. Took us in with just a couple hours notice, trusted us to leave the fee when no one was around when we pulled out. All around, a perfect horse motel. Would definitely stay there again. THANKS DAVE!! You made a long trip for us very easy through Arizona. -Sheri and Brad.". . . (8/1/09) - "Super accommodating! Very professional. Easy access! Will recommend to fellow traveling barrel racers.". . . (12/6/09) - "Host was great. Made sure my horses were comfortable. Helped load an reluctant loader the next day, checked on my horses at night for me. Felt really good leaving the horses overnight. Hotels and restaurants are very close. Easy to find as well.". . . (6/2/10) - "My daughter and five horses stayed here last night. After unexpected delays, she arrived around 11:00 pm. Jeff was there to meet her upon her arrival and departure the next morning. The facilities and the treatment she received were great. I want to express my appreciation for making her stay a pleasant one. Dick Beck, owner of www.horsemotel.com". . . (10/2/10) - "Only made an hour layover, unfortunately, because it was beautiful. The owners were friendly and our horse, dogs and us humans enjoyed the leg stretch.". . . (5/17/11) - "{The owners} were extremely helpful and attentive to our needs. Went above expectations to make us comfortable.". . . (6/20/11) - "Bonnie and Rod were great hosts; couldn't been any better. Thanks again. Well Fargo Stagecoach outrider.". . . (7/6/11) - "We were greeted with a smile and after a check of our traveling papers we were almost family. A pleaseure to put our horse up for the night. We had been traveling for two days in summer heat and our horse was not drinking. Bonnie immediately filled his trough with fresh water. He did drink a little after a few minutes. Previously she had raked down (looked more like swept) the outdoor pen and wiped down the rails with chlorox. In the morning (6 AM) she was on duty and checking livestock. After a farewell and safe travel bon voyage from Bonnie we were on our way. I highly recommend this facility to anyone. Come for the night or stay for the week. There are 1000's of acres of forest land to ride. Saddle up and enjoy.". . . (7/31/11) - "Stayed at facility twice in June/July. Hosts are very helpful and friendly. Beautiful facility. Wild elk herd grazing in nearby pasture each evening. Will make a point to return on vacation.". . . (9/26/11) - "We deeply appreciated the quality of our experience at MCS Stables. The equine accommodations were clean and safe (not to mention beautiful), and the hosts were both warm and welcoming and immensely professional. We felt completely safe and happy to leave our equines in the care of MCS's managers. We also enjoyed the convenience of MCS's location - very close to the motels and restaurants of Flagstaff. All in all, an outstanding horse-motel experience.". . . (11/11/11) - "Oh yes! I will stay here again and again and AGAIN! Hope to make it back out to Flagstaff summer 2012 and would like to stay a month. LOVELY place. Well maintained. Arenas very nicely groomed. 200 herd of Elk in the back field. Wow! Trails all over for mountain biking, running or trail riding your horse (I did all 3). YUMMY HAY PROVIDED IN BOARD! This place is so fantastic folks from Phoenix board their horses up here in the dead heat of summer. I can't sing the praises of place enough. Can wait to see you guys again! Was here Aug 2011 and can't wait to come back!". . . (1/10/12) - "The staff was very helpful and friendly. Also, they were extremely accommodating to my party's late arrival. I would definitely stay there again!". . . (3/21/12) - "Very nice people and wonderful place to stall our mules.". . . (5/15/12) - "Great stay, super helpful folks and great facilities. Thank you.". . . (8/21/12) - "Excellent service. Easy to get in and out of. Hotels and food are 2 miles from the stables. Highly recommend, coming from a very picky horse owner.". . . (1/26/13) - "This was my first time hauling LONG distance, and my first stop on my way from Yucaipa, CA to Tennessee. To top it off, I was hauling my friends horses! This was the best stop on my trip. I was greeted as I came in, directed where to go, helped with electricy hook up, and settling my horses in. We were done with "chores"; horses happy and munching, trailer cleaned out and we were sitting with an adult beverage before the sun went down. This first experience opened my eyes to the true pleasures of hauling, and is the mark I compare them all to now. Thanks again for a great stay. (08/2012).". . . (5/20/13) - "A little out of the way but worth it. Rustic setting that didn't look impressive at first but felt we like we were camping in the mountains near home. Elk came 50 yards behind our trailers! Access to trails a few feet away. Great service! Could actually be a destination for a week or so!". . . (10/30/13) - "We stayed here after a bad night in Amarillo. This is heaven! We turned our horses out into a large arena. Bonnie had all the stalls ready with fresh shavings and water. Our horses had nice large stalls. Easy access to highway, yet off the road and feels completely safe for all of us. We will stay here anytime we can!!! Very nice!!!". . . (3/8/15) - "Minutes from downtown Flagstaff, MCS stables is a real horse facility with everything we wanted including hook ups for our rig (except for sewer). The outdoor pens are huge and safe. There are forest trails right out of their property. Their drinking water is excellent and the hosts are very accommodating.". . . (3/10/15) -"We have used MCS Stables every time we have traveled through Flagstaff. Our horses relax in the stalls and we appreciate the care they received. Highly recommend them for anyone laying over in Flagstaff.". . . (4/9/15) - "Very nice, honest hosts made us feel at home. Property was neat and well kept. We only stayed overnight but would have enjoyed staying longer and to ride in the national forest.". . . (4/22/15) - Bonnie is great, friendly and accommodating; and her place is not only in a beautiful setting but it is also clean, safe and easy to find and get your rig into. And, most important for my herd bound, inexperienced traveler of a horse, there are horses living on the property."

Comments: (3/4/15) - "The road in was scary for us. We are first time haulers, just moved from Hawaii with Hawaii born horses, bought a trailer and started out. We don't have a four wheel drive truck and so when we hit the road in to the site it was nerve wracking. However, the barn was totally worth it! The owner was nice, sent us directions, gave us tips on tack stores in the area. Good experience & would use them again!"

Comments: (2/27/06) - "Deb and Ben and all their friends welcomed us and our horses like long lost friends. We had such a good time there from the riding in the desert to the singers around the fire. They greeted us when we got there very late and said goodbye when we left very early. I was a little worried because there was not much for entertainment but we never missed it. We had such a good time riding and visiting with everybody that shopping was way down on our list of fun things to do. Don't miss this place if you love to ride.". . .(4/30/06) - "Very nice facility, lots of room for horses to exercise after a very long ride. Owners, very friendly and accommodating. Nice 5th wheel to sleep in. Close to town, great Greek restaurant!". . . (4/25/11) - "Fabulous place to RV and board our horses. We are happy to be going back for our 3rd time next winter. Ben and Deb are awesome hosts!". . . (2/16/16) - "Deb was wonderful, friendly, and very kind. Called in the morning for a stay that night for the horses and our family. Wonderful!!!"

Comments: (5/19/14) - "We were accommodated with a late arrival, big covered pens, water, and friendly folks!". . . (6/24/14) - "This is the nicest horse facility we have ever had the horses stay at. It was immaculate with separated stalls so there is no chance of contact with another horse and professionally run by a former Grand Prix rider. My horses immediately relaxed and ate and drank well while there were there. You cannot find a nicer place for your horses stay.". . . (3/8/15) - "James and Amanda have a wonderful facility with large outdoor stalls and a covered area in each. Three large turnout areas make it easy to get some exercise. When we travel with our horses, finding them some free run space is very important. You can stay there in your rig dry camping or there is an inexpensive RV park just a few blocks away. James and Amanda are very knowledgeable and experienced. We had no qualms about leaving our horses in their care.". . . (8/17/15) - "The only horse motel that had us sign a form to ensure they could contact us and outlined the terms. SMART. This ranch is cute and clean. If you are driving east and go through Needles, tired and needing rest, go no farther. 12 miles north of Needles you will be happy to leave your horse at this perfectly maintained ranch with owners' house in front so no one enters without them being aware. Friendly welcome and happy horse when we returned.". . . (2/23/16) - "Look forward to staying with these folks every year. They are the best and will do everything they can to accommodate you and your horse."

(1/13/09) - "Service and courtesy the way it used to - and should - be! Despite the extremely cold weather, we were met with very warm greetings - even though we arrived much later than planned and everyone was extremely courteous and helpful. After I realized I had forgotten the convertor plug for the RV site and the office was closed, I took a chance and knocked on the office door. Thankfully, the office staff opened up and sold me the plug I needed (which was much cheaper than I expected) and even came by a few minutes later to check. When our trailer heater unexpectedly quit (no good time for that in any winter), we were offered a temporary heater to last us through the night. If you folks were any kinder, you'd be family! Thank you so much for a wonderful visit.". . . (3/5/09) - "We would like to thank Max for getting out of his warm bed to get us situated at the wee hours of the morning! We had an unfortunate accident on the highway on our way out of California. Max was there to greet us and get us safely tucked away for the night! What a wonderful place for horses, dogs and humans!". . . (1/18/11) - "Everyone was very kind and helpful. Certainly recommend Blake Ranch for short term stop-over ... enjoyed horse riding from site.". . . (8/24/11) - "(A special thanks to Rick and Peggy from the administrator of horsemotel.com) - I recently had a fuel pump fail on my pickup truck in the vicinity of the Blake Ranch RV Park & Horse Motel. Knowing Rick and Peggy's facility was nearby, and having promised to stop by and visit them during one of my frequent trips past their place, I limped my way to their horse motel. I not only had the opportunity to finally meet Rick and Peggy but I was able to repair my truck. Rick and Peggy are super people and they have a great place that is very convenient to I-40. It's clean and well laid out. It's a bit far from Kingman but they have a nice convenience store with a wide variety of food and beverages. I didn't have horses but Rick gave me a tour of his facility and the stalls are strong and well maintained and he offers a cabin and/or full RV hookups. The best part of my visit was how much fun it was to meet them both and how accommodating they were to me. Thanks for all your help, Rick and Peggy - the microwaved, pre-made Philly Cheese Steak sandwich was great. Dick Beck". . . (6/18/12) - "Rented the rustic cabin also. Great horse facilities, nice people, very helpful. Would stay here again.". . . (5/20/13) - "POSITIVE does not BEGIN to describe our experience! They were waiting for our arrival with fresh water and sawdust. We were checked on MULTIPLE times through our short stay to be sure we had everything we needed. Hosts really went out of their way. We will DEFINITELY stay here again if we are in the area!". . . (8/14/13) - "This is an amazing place. Great horse facilities including use of a round pen upon unloading and off leash fenced areas for dogs traveling with us. The facilities for the humans was really nice also. When traveling with horses again, will plan route to stay here again.". . . (5/3/14) - "Thank you for a great overnight. Loved the little bunkhouse. Thank you for having a round pen to let my horse stretch out his legs. Best of luck to you.". . . (3/17/15) - "My sister and I stayed here on our way home to Oregon after being in AZ for a month of riding. I am happy to report how satisfied we were with the facility and our experience. The stalls were fully covered, clean and filled with shavings. There were four stalls to each enclosure and an alley down the middle so only two horses were in contact with each other. After boarding horses in a dusty, barely adequate facility in AZ for a month, I cannot express how nice it was to stay here. We also stayed in the little bunk house, which was more than adequate, though they could do with new mattresses on the trundle beds. The bathhouse was very nice, and clean, with private shower rooms. And, for us, the restaurant/truck stop just up the road was a great plus, as we were able to get a quick hot breakfast, gas up and go the following morning. In talking to the owners, we learned they were from our home town in Oregon. They did things right and as I would expect to see them done here at home. Maybe I am spoiled living in the Oregon rain because we have to have good, weather tight facilities here. That's what they had there, too. A++ rating from me!". . . (4/19/16) - "Couldn't ask for a more convenient place to stop- right off the exit for easy off and back on. Good sized pen for our horse, and we stayed in the "bunk house" for $35. Nice and clean, basically just a bed for the night. Would definitely stop through again!"

Comments: (1/18/11) - "Great hospitality of owners and surrounding community! Because of weather, didn't have opportunity to ride vast surrounding open area. Only down-side was payment for full hook-up but only electric available ... would definitely go back again and recommend.". . . (10/16/12) - "Misty Sunrise Ranch was great, it is located out of town, very peaceful, lots of places to ride our horses. Our hosts were wonderful, we left our horses with them while we went to Las Vegas for 4 days and they received great care. We would stay again.". . . (5/2/13) - "We spent the winter of 2012-2013 and had such an awesome time we are going to be spending the winter of 2013-2014 with Lucy and Gil also. Thanks for an awesome winter.". . . (3/8/15) - "Lucy and Gil were incredibly accommodating. You get a choice of barn stalls with small turnouts or, in our case, we asked for, and got, the big arena. We like big outside areas for our horses so they can run around and get some freedom after being cooped up traveling. Lucy and Gil gave us scads of information on places to ride from their property. There is a really big dry wash that runs by their place and on to the Colorado River. One of our horses was recovering from an injury, so we couldn't ride, but we will come back next year just to ride that beautiful wash. Also, Grand Canyon West Skywalk and Lake Mead are both minutes away. Hook ups for our rig were right by our horses. Great place to stay!"

(2/22/12) - "Brian & Susan are extremely friendly and go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. They have the gift of hospitality. Huge arena. Beautiful and plentiful trail riding. Gorgeous views. Quiet, relaxing, and private. If you need something they do everything they can to accommodate you. We have made new friends and hope to return.". . . (3/30/13) - "We enjoyed 2 visits in March, 2013 and the hosts were wonderful -- very helpful & knowledgeable -- they made every aspect of our visits enjoyable. The round pen and arena are both kept up very well & we really appreciated trail rides including one to the Verde River. Views to the mountains from our campsite were beautiful and we both enjoyed riding in the washes and on nearby dirt roads. We're looking forward to visiting again next year!". . . (4/14/13) - "My husband and I stayed at the Lost Cowboy Ranch for nine weeks and it was a wonderful experience. The Bowers were great hosts and helped us out with exploring the surroundings and getting around the area. We will be returning next year and would definitely recommend a stay at Lost Cowboy Ranch for a week, or months. Great for your horses as well. Always kept clean and stalls were sizeable, plus the arena and of course, the roping and sorting was a lot of fun. Neighbors were so friendly and helpful, too. Loved it there.". . . (12/12/13) - "Thank you for your dog-friendly welcome. Even with our "old guys" needing to work out some "discussions" all went smoothly as your attitude and calm assurance that "dogs usually work these things out" made our stay especially easy to enjoy all other fun activities. Well see you agin in Feb 2014.". . . (1/20/14) - "Great place to stay. The owners were very helpful and responded to any questions or concerns. Very clean and well kept. Susan took us out on trail and showed us some great rides. There is also lots of riding right from the ranch. Lots of space per campsite which is a real plus compared to some locations. Pens were secure and well designed.". . . (2/10/14) - "Had a wonderful time here and am coming back next year.". . . (2/12/14) - "Great place, friendly hosts, wonderful trails right out of the driveway. Loved it, will be back.". . . (4/4/14) - "Please see additional comments on FB. This was a wonderful place to stay, so much so we intend to re-visit next year. These proprietors aim to please in every way to make the visit comfortable, safe, and enjoyable.". . . (4/6/15) - "Lost Cowboy Ranch" ....could just as well be named, "Love Thy Neighbor Ranch." When we fist came across this horse motel, we puzzled over the name. Wanting to "get lost" for a while ourselves (especially from the frigid temperatures of a Minnesota winter), we made reservations. From the first contact by email, the impression was that of warmth and hospitality that has not changed in the 2 seasons we have camped at LCR. Arrive lost and leave found--new acquaintances, warm relationships, lasting friendships..it is a progressive story that unfolds with each lost cowboy (girl) who embraces this adventure. Added attractions are the beautiful scenery God has created there, ride to the river or to Granite Mountain or...possibilities are endless. All this in an atmosphere of peace, safety and trust. Team sorting is another event that takes place at scheduled times..fun for the participant as well as the observer. You will not be sorry you chose this location.". . . (2/16/16) - "This is a regular and favorite stop for us... Hosts are as welcoming and friendly as anyone we have ever met.... Quiet nights and dark sky's....They are often full so book early and enjoy their hospitality and knowledge."

(3/18/11) - "Carmela and Joe are the best hosts ever. I felt welcome, very comfortable and safe from the minute I got there. They gave me very good directions for getting there and for the trails. All their suggestions for restaurants and other things to do were great, too. Beautiful place, great accommodations for the horses and the best desert riding you'll find anywhere. I was there for 4 weeks and the time just flew by and I didn't want to leave. Carmela and Joe were also very welcoming to my daughter and her friend when they came for a surprise visit and stayed in the bunkhouse. Thank you Carmela and Joe! I will be back.". . . (3/21/11) - "This place is an absolute horse lovers dream! The trails are incredible, right out of the campgroud. We rode a different trail every day for a week and hated to leave since there were so many more we didn't get to. Sunsets and sunrises are postcard perfect. It is quiet and removed from city life and surrounded by beautiful desert. The owners are the nicest people and couldn't have been more accommodating. We thoroughly enjoyed their company. Just a great place . . . we'll be back!". . . (3/31/11) - "The views are spectular 360 degrees. The riding is perfect for all kinds of riders and horses as you are open to all options on how challenging or easy you want to make it. The ranch is immaculate; Joe and Carm are friendly, with helpfull info on all you can do. You can leave for a day of shopping in Scottsdale and rest assured you horses will be comfortable and safe!". . . (4/25/11) - "Joe and Carmella are wonderful hosts. The riding right off the property is terrific. They have an incredible facility. Superclean, with awesome views. Have been there twice, would definitely go again!". . . (1/17/12) - "Absolutely beautiful facility with nice stalls and comfortable area for RVs. Hosts were very helpful and informative. Picture perfect location.". . . (3/5/12) - "Wow... what a GREAT place. Joe & Carmela are awesome. As were all of their guests & critters. Love the horse accommodations & the fact that dogs are welcome. We were met upon arrival. Got TONS of help parking the rig, getting horses & humans settled & help with departure. I cannot say enough kind things.". . . (9/4/12) - "We have stayed at Rio Verde every year for many years and love it. The hosts are knowledgable and friendly and the accommodations for both horses and us are great. The bunk house is charming and right near the horses, the views are breathtaking and the whole desert experience is fabulous. Also close to restaurants and sights. Great experience!". . . (3/5/13) - "Loved my visit at Rancho Rio Verde. Carmela and Joe are wonderful, knowledgeable and so welcoming. I felt at home right away! The bunkhouse was charming and immaculate. The riding was remote and beautiful. Fantastic experience!". . . (7/10/13) - "We have stayed here for two weeks every year for the last 6 years. Joe and Carmela are enthusiast hosts and between them, they pretty much know everything about everything! What a joyful and beautiful place. Can't wait to go back. Lisa and Loren Skyhorse.". . . (3/31/14) - "Words can't begin to describe this beautiful ranch! Hosts Carmela & Joe provide a desert paradise for their guests. A group of us occupied the trailer sites and bunkhouse. Sites were roomy and near the barns. The bunkhouse is gorgeous and far larger than it appears in the photos. The barns, stalls & runs are as immaculately maintained as the rest of the property. The riding is spectacular and Joe provided us with directions and descriptions of various trails which are all accessed from the ranch. We had only one complaint . . . We wished we could have stayed longer!!". . . (9/6/14) - "What a wonderful retreat! I was traveling for work with my horses and dogs. Rio Rancho Verde was the perfect home away from home. Accommodations for myself and my four legged family was most comfortable. The stables provided ample stalls and turn out area. For the dogs, there was a nicely fenced kennel along the side of the casita. Very quiet and private. I will certainly stay again! Carmela and Joe were excellent hosts and lets not forget Alex who was most helpful at the stables.". . . (2/12/15) - "Great location, semi-remote (good!), great hosts, lovely facilities, friendly dog (Gracie).". . . (2/28/15) - "I had a wonderful stay at Rio Rancho Verde. The place was spotless. Joe and Carnella were great hosts. Great trails. I highly recommend their facility and I will be planning another outing there in the near future.". . . (3/1/15) - "We had an absolutely fabulous stay with wonderful hosts who could not have been more accommodating, as well as all the other people staying there! The scenery was breathtaking with endless hiking trails and astounding sunrise and sunset views. We don't have horses but so enjoyed our time there that we already have plans to return. We stayed in their RV trailer which was more than sufficient, tho may stay in a bedroom or bunkhouse next time. We look forward to returning!!". . . (12/25/15) - "Absolutely above and beyond our greatest expectations. Could not have asked for anything more. Hospitality was second to none and in an unbelievable setting. I promise you will be satisfied to say the least if you use this facility!!!!"

Comments: (3/8/15) - "Dave and Linda were the consummate hosts. Their 40 acres is surrounded by State Trust land with peace and quiet. We wanted outside stabling, so they gave us their round pen. We joined them for supper in Seligman, a little piece of historic Route 66. They even rode with us around their beautiful valley. They were very helpful with information about the area and suggestions for places to camp along our way. Safe, secure and peaceful, the Lazy D is a great place to stay for a night or a week.". . . (2/9/16) - "Such a wonderful couple who own this beautiful ranch. They greet you at the road and help direct you onto their property. They help you with your horses and feed. Stalls are super clean and fresh water is provided. They even greased my trailer hitch! Super nice hospitality and one of the best horse hotels I have ever experienced!"

Comments: (3/4/02) - "These folks were the kind you'd like to have for neighbors, friendly and helpful. Big, clean pens for the horses, a nice arena or miles of desert for riding.". . .(5/21/02) - "We had a wonderful stay. Nice facilities, easy access from I-10, and easy to find. Be prepared to spend some time with Stewart and Betsy. They are as friendly and as nice as can be. Great hosts. Small motel nearby and a nice local cafe with good food and great pie.". . .(12/21/02) - "Stewart was great, even though we called him Steve! Treated us like friends. Stewart is retired & involved heavily in roping, with a lot of other retired folks nearby. Wish we could have stayed for a demo. Hope to stop there again.". . . (2/17/03) - "Betsy and Stewart are very warm and friendly and are extremely accommodating. They made our time with them very fun and relaxing. We never had a single worry about our RV or our horses. They were always willing to help with anything we needed and the facilities are clean and well kept. I would highly recommend them to anyone.". . .(8/16/03) - "Our first experience at a horse motel was excellent due to the host and hostess. Thank you.". . .(1/14/06) - "Stewart and Betsy made our last minute stay at their place very helpful and homely. Stewart gave great directions to his facility and was more than helpful to get us settled in for the night. It made our move to Florida a bit more stressfree. Thanks again Stewart.". . . (6/4/10) - "Stewart and Betsy are AWESOME! Very friendly and accomodating. We came in rather late in the evening, but no worries. They made sure we were well taken care of before they turned in. We needed their smiles after an exhausting day!". . . (5/21/12) - "We echo the comments of all who posted here. We definitely appreciated the welcome and the cold beverage. They had us set up right next to their house with full hook-up and Rio had a good night's sleep as well. The next morning we enjoyed coffee with Betsy & Stewart before we hit the road to our end destination. We definitely recommend their facility for overnight and longer if you've a mind to stay. We wish them luck in their endeavor and will stay again. Definitely will be sharing their location for all who might be traveling their way.". . . (1/5/14) - "We were traveling from East TX back to CA and wanted to break up the trip for both us and our horse. We also wanted to be on the west side of Phoenix to make the drive through Riverside and LA easier the next day. Stewart was very accommodating and returned our phone call within minutes (even though he was busy with roping!). His facility is close to Interstate 10, but could be a little difficult to find if after sunset. Even though we got there before dark, Stewart drove out to meet us just to be sure! He is just a delight, full of stories and knows his horses! The stalls are more than adequate and very clean! If you have a rig, there are hookups available just a few steps from your horse. We look forward to seeing Stewart again on our next trip through AZ.". . . (3/18/16) - "Very welcoming host. Came in at night the first time and he was waiting for me at the entrance and it was very nice to have someone there after a long days travel. The horse had water waiting in her pen. He had me follow him on his ATV and showed me exactly where to park to hook up. He lost his wife to cancer a few years back so he is running the place without her now. Your horse and a nice outdoor arena are within 100 feet of where your trailer is. There are nice RV pads with electricity, water, and sewer at each one. Easy turnaround."
